Excellent value for money golf break. We would definitely go back
Great hotel, nice evening meal and breakfast. Poor choice of bitter!! The smooth wasn’t! And the real ale was poor.
Front room view was lovely and the room was well appointed including all sky sports channels which was a welcome surprise. The food in the Zest bar was very nice although the tables would look better with table mats as it felt a little canteen like. The drinks were expensive - £7.25 for the cheapest large glass of red wine. Overall a pleasant hotel stay.
Good weekend for a golf break , not exactly a luxury stay for couples but we enjoyed the weekend. For what we paid and what we actually got was very good value. Top tip though , call the pro shop to make sure buggies are booked. Hard going if carrying !

Enjoyed the course but the round was slow on the Monday
Very good course, well kept hardly any leaves on the fairways even after the high winds .
Great course, but very undulating!! The majority of greens were punched between our two rounds, so completely changed the quality/speed of them on the 2nd day. The 2nd day the pace of play was also a lot slower for some reason!!
A very large golf society was on the course in front of us and all were 4 balls. At the two short holes there was a very long wait and queuing on all holes. The grass on the fairways was long and it was very difficult to find your way round the course. Our tee time was at 3:20 pm and there was no way you could finish before dark - we were so fed of up of the long waits we completed only 8 holes and finished at 6.00 pm. The queues were just as long on the Monday. We feel we should have been told about the large group competition before we booked. The course was very sloping and everyone was looking for their balls in the long grass after it had run down the slope. Views were lovely but that was the only good thing about the course.
Golf course was in great shape. Hard greens and difficult course but pretty good fun with a group.
