Built in 1766, the chateau was General Berthier's residence when Napoleon laid siege to Boulogne. The outstanding example of 18th century architecture sits amid 12 acres of stunning countryside, and now offers excellent hospitality to visitors, whether golfers or not.

The 27 bedrooms retain the charm and character of the chateau's early days, but have now been modernized with the requisite amenities to ensure the convenience. For something intimate and intriguing, the Hotel Cléry is a fascinating choice for an escape to the popular coastline South of Calais.

Good

Hotel looking very tired. Needs refurb No Dinner. Staff issues. This meant we spent €700 in taxis Wouldn’t stay again. €1300 deposit for drinks which was not needed on many occasions I’ve stayed there.

Very Good

A delightful hotel, we have stayed before but this was exceptional not least the food we enjoyed on all three nights. An idyllic hotel just across the Channel.
