The Isla Canela Golf facility is a wonderful 18-hole golf course designed by Juan Catarineu, which opened in 1993. The layout is dominated by olive, orange and eucalyptus trees as well as other native plants.
The enviable climate allows players to play throughout the year. The course is maintained in perfect condition and is accessible for high-handicaped players while still offering a stern challenge for lower handicaps.
Isla Canela's hallmark is the quality of its magnificent greens, which are renowned for their firmness and speed throughout the year. The gentle slopes of the course mean that everyone can enjoy their game without the need for a golf buggy.
The course is integrated with the natural marshland, which gives it a rich beauty and a special ornithological value, in addition to providing natural obstacles around the course that add to the difficulty and fun of your golfing experience.
Players can practise their long game from the 12 covered tees on the driving range, or use the grassy area for those who prefer a more natural experience. There is also a pitching and putting green for golfers wishing to touch up on their short game.Isla Canela Golf boasts its own golf school for both adults and children.
