Le Manoir du Golf has nine rooms and suites spread across a building that has changed remarkably little in spirit since it was first built in 1911. The wood panelling, leather furnishings and generous room proportions give the property real character, and the rooms feel individual rather than off-the-shelf. This is not a standard resort hotel. It is a historic house that happens to sit at the centre of one of the best golf set-ups in France.
All rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi and TV, and the calm, traditional style suits the building well. The real advantage for golfers, though, is the setting. Wake up a few steps from the Academy, fit in a warm-up before breakfast and head to the Champions Course without losing half the day in transfers. For anyone trying to make the most of every hour on a golf trip, that convenience is a genuine advantage.
The flagship Lake View Suite spans 65 square metres and comprises a double bedroom alongside a living room with sofa bed, opening onto a private balcony with an uninterrupted view across Lake Geneva. On a clear morning, with the Alps catching the early light on the far shore and the Academy spread out below, it is a view that makes it genuinely difficult to head straight to the practice ground. The Standard Lake View rooms, at 30 square metres, share the same outlook, with one of them also offering a balcony. If views matter to you, these are the rooms to go for.
For those facing the wooded park, the Standard Park View rooms are quieter and more tucked away, with a sense of calm that suits golfers who want to switch off properly after a long day on the course.
