The hotel is ideally located on the east side of the island and is away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist honeypot sites on the west side where Palma (the capital) is. It is also just an hour from the airport. Once you get there, those looking to relax in the wonderful sunshine, there is a gorgeous adults only beach right in front of the hotel where sun loungers can be hired out for the day. Furthermore, the crystal blue waters of the island make it the perfect spot to enjoy some of your favourite water sports including snorkelling where guests can view the thriving underwater ecosystem below. Away from the hotel there is plenty to keep everyone satisfied, with the Caves of Drach being only 12.8 km away guests have the chance to explore some of nature's most truly beautiful creations.
Mallorca is often overlooked when it comes to being a golfing destination but if you do so you will miss out on some of the best golf courses in both Spain and Europe. The Iberostar campus has two fantastic 18 hole courses on it called Son Antem West and East. The resort is very easy on the eye as olive trees and woods line the fairways with the Randa Mountain lingering magnificently in the background. The beautiful island paradise of Mallorca is a haven for some of the world’s best unknown courses in the world and Son Antem is no exception. There are also some incredible courses extremely nearby. Pula Golf resort is only a chip and putt away and after being redesigned by 2012 Ryder Cup winning captain, Jose Maria Olazabal it was catapulted onto the world stage and is now seen as one of the best courses in Europe making it an unmissable opportunity for any golfer on the island.
We were made to feel welcome and staff were very friendly. Although low season there was entertainment every night. Food was buffet style with a good variety of choices. Drinks were a little on the high side but expected due to Island location.
