The impressive track was the brain-child of the world renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. who managed to blend this magnificent layout with the natural characteristics of the surrounding areas to great effect.
The par-71 design stretches across undulating Tuscan landscape, and measures a respectable 6,600 yards from the back and just over 5,000 from the front tees, if you’re looking for a little less of a challenge. The course is a distinctive example of an inland links, which is enhanced by the charming lakes and imposing clubhouse that offers panoramic views across the towers of Siena.The Bagnaia Golf Academy provides great facilities to golfers visiting the locale, with a host of practice areas for long game and short game as well as a video zone and club fitting area for golfers looking to improve their game.
Impressively, no two rooms are the same. Each one carefully and uniquely styled with traditional Tuscan furnishings, and the warm wine and ochre color palette is evocative of the atmosphere and history of the surrounding area. The service in the bar was poor but the menu and food in the restaurant were excellent. Excellent wine as well. Accommodation was also very good and comfortable with good size rooms
