3 Nights, 2 Rounds
The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa sits right in Marbella's Golf Valley, tucked into the Sierra Blanca hills with the coast only a short hop away. You're close enough to Puerto Banús and Marbella for a night out, but far enough from the buzz to feel like you've actually escaped.
Golf is the headline. La Quinta's 27 holes, designed by former Ryder Cup player Manuel Piñero, can be played in three different combinations, so groups can mix it up over a long weekend. Expect quick, true greens and plenty of views, with the mountains behind you and the Mediterranean out in the distance. Recent bunker work has helped keep the course in sharp nick, which is exactly what you want when you've come to the Costa del Sol for a proper round.
Off the course, it's a full five-star resort with 170 recently renovated rooms, all with Westin's Heavenly Bed in king or two queens. Add a Moorish-inspired spa, solid dining options and a strong location for beaches, shopping and nightlife, and you've got a base that works for serious golfers, couples and mixed groups. If you're building a sunshine break around quality golf and a bit of Marbella atmosphere, La Quinta makes it very easy to say yes.

San Pedro is the original course at La Quinta, and forms the backbone of the toughest course make-up. There is a good variety of holes, with some delightful par-3s being off-set by exacting long holes, where finding the correct position off the tee is crucial. The highlight is the 5th, where the fairway is banked on either side by mature pine trees and out-of-bounds.

Named in honour of a beautiful local village, the Ronda course will test the precision and accuracy of every golfer with undulating fairways and fast, difficult greens. There are blind tee shots to be negotiated, while the most demanding proposition is undoubtedly the long 6th, requiring three good strikes to find the target.

Set against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Sierra Blanca mountain range, the Guadaiza is the newest addition to La Quinta Golf. It is also the longest of the three loops, demanding powerful and accurate drives. Negotiating the three successive par-5s is the key to mastering the Guadaiza.
La Quinta is home to the International Golf Academy, where Manuel Pinero leads an outstanding facility that runs dedicated tuition and instruction clinics.

Tucked into Marbella's Golf Valley and surrounded by the Sierra Blanca hills, The Westin La Quinta is a true oasis within the Costa del Sol. The 170 rooms and suites have all been recently renovated, blending modern design with genuine hospitality in a way that feels both luxurious and welcoming.
Every guest room comes with a private balcony, offering views over the pool, the fairways or the Mediterranean coastline depending on your room choice. Post-round, the balcony is a great spot for a cold drink while the sun drops over the fairways. The rooms themselves are spacious and thoughtfully designed, with Westin's Heavenly beds as standard, either in king size or two queens. The attention to detail extends throughout, from the quality of the linens to the layout of the bathrooms, making this one of the standout hotels in Andalucía for golfers who want added luxury as part of their trip.
Facilities are geared for golfers who want more than a bed for the night, with a proper spa, a good pool set-up and multiple places to eat and drink. The Moorish-styled Heavenly Spa by Westin features eight treatment rooms, a Mediterranean sauna, aromatic steam bath, hammam, hydro massage and aqua therapy, alongside a cutting-edge fitness studio. The Thermal Circuit Area is particularly impressive, offering a place to properly unwind and rejuvenate after a day on the course. The spa menu has been carefully put together, with a wide range of treatments designed to refresh from head to toe.
Outside, the pool area is a genuine highlight, with El Mirador Pool Bar on hand for cocktails and light bites. The setting, with views across the fairways and out towards the coast, makes it easy to spend an afternoon here between rounds.
Eating well is central to the experience at La Quinta, with local produce forming the backbone of the cuisine. The specially designed buffet breakfast includes foods rich in antioxidants and raw ingredients, giving you a proper start to the day before heading out to the course. Seasonal Taste offers an interactive dining experience with open kitchens and participatory cooking stations, alongside a variety of specials and themed gastronomic events that move beyond traditional hotel dining.
Casa Club, the golf club's main restaurant, serves Mediterranean plates made with handpicked seasonal herbs and vegetables sourced locally. The menu reflects the region properly, with quality ingredients and straightforward preparation. If you're after something more relaxed, the Arabian-themed Aljama Lounge offers a stylish setting for drinks, while the 19th Hole bar provides quick refreshments between rounds.
The Westin La Quinta is located in San Pedro de Alcántara, 10 kilometres from both Puerto Banús and Marbella. Málaga Airport is approximately 60 kilometres away, making transfers straightforward.

The place is fantastic well looked after clean. Room staff are great staff and ground staff are always working. Round the pool area is clean clean. They bring drinks to you round the pool. And what is a right touch they have a free of charge 16 seat minibus takes you down to beach and picks up at set times but a taxi is only 16euro if you miss the mini bus

Great hotel with facilities. However not allowed to use the 19th bar after golf as they had a function on. Same happened last year. We assumed buggies were included but had to pay at the venue. However a great place.

Feels a bit tired these days, not very busy and a great shame their excellent halfway house was closed. Greens in good order and staff polite and friendly. Annoyingly for the second year running they insisted on charging for a 4th buggy even though it was cleared booked and paid for! That was poor
