San Pedro is the original course at La Quinta, and forms the backbone of the toughest course make-up. There is a good variety of holes, with some delightful par-3s being off-set by exacting long holes, where finding the correct position off the tee is crucial. The highlight is the 5th, where the fairway is banked on either side by mature pine trees and out-of-bounds.

Named in honour of a beautiful local village, the Ronda course will test the precision and accuracy of every golfer with undulating fairways and fast, difficult greens. There are blind tee shots to be negotiated, while the most demanding proposition is undoubtedly the long 6th, requiring three good strikes to find the target.

Set against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Sierra Blanca mountain range, the Guadaiza is the newest addition to La Quinta Golf. It is also the longest of the three loops, demanding powerful and accurate drives. Negotiating the three successive par-5s is the key to mastering the Guadaiza.
La Quinta is home to the International Golf Academy, where Manuel Pinero leads an outstanding facility that runs dedicated tuition and instruction clinics.

Westin La Quinta is a beautifully presented and maintained hotel. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean with a balcony and lovely view onto the pool, garden and to the mountains. The breakfasts were delicious with choice of many fresh fruits, fresh yogurt, cereals, continental and cooked breakfast. We ate lunch at the country club after playing golf and evening meals in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant menu was varied and interesting and all meals were delicious. The staff in the reception and restaurants were excellent, helpful and freindly.

Great hotel! Lovely spacious and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was lovely, food after golf in the clubhouse was very nice- La Quinta club sandwich is a must, had it every time. You have a restaurant for food in the evening and bar there too, so if you just want to stay in and chill it’s perfect. If you want something more lively, 5 min taxi ride, easy. Really really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. No complaints

The quality of the staff at this hotel made it a particularly enjoyable stay- preparing special dishes was not an issue- eg, vegetarian paella was requested in advance , and duly arrived for dinner- lovely service!

As a high handicapper the course was pretty challenging in places but still doable. The set up 3 x 9 hole loops was unusual for me but it's all well signposted so no problem. We did loop C then B and although C is deemed to be the more technical loop we found B more challenging.

This was our first golf holiday and as relatively new players we were a little anxious of our ability amongst regular holiday golfers. However we had no problem keeping pace on the rounds and enjoyed the challenge of the varied and hilly courses. We used electric trolleys on the first day but realised we needed a buggy if we were to manage 5 days playing up and down the hills. The staff could not have been more helpful and our hired clubs were excellent. The holiday was a great success: thank you Cameron you could not have recommended a better venue for our initiation to golf abroad. We would certainly return to Westin la Quinta.

Beautiful course and surrounding scenery.A lot of travelling time between holes which added to the time.Narrow fairways which made it challenging!

Beautiful looking holes and an interesting layout. I’m more of a “smash driver” on every hole sort of guy but with this course you have to think about your tee shots a bit more which isn’t a bad thing though! Course was in great condition. Fairways pure, tee boxes lovely, greens looking nice and run pure but they were a tad too hard I’d say. You could hit such a good shot and then they’ll kinda bounce off and roll off the back. Needs a bit of water to soften them but other than that very very good condition overall. 27 hole layout and we played all 3 set ups. Just me and my buddy every round and we were playing in 4 hours or under- but it is March and out of season tbf. Overall- course in great condition, a quirky little layout to test your iron skills and some beautiful looking holes with the mountains (one mountain) in the background and a couple of fun tee shots over water. Defo worth a visit I’d say

Some fairways were a bit difficult, but it is a quiet nice course. We could only play A and C, but it would have been nice to play also B, but it was closed. We like Costa del Sol and maybe we will come back sometimes. Thanks very much for good service from Your Golf Travel.

We enjoyed this course. Three 9s and we played A and C. The staff were friendly and, owing to the weather forecast, we were one of the few sets of golfers on the course. But we largely dodged the rain until the 15th when we stopped - the last hole on the C course looks a real challenge with the carry across the water. We look forward to returning - a great course. (A is regarded as more forgiving, B has more water, C is narrower).
