Water comes into play on no less than 16 of Serena's 18 holes, a plan formulated by designer Manuel Pinero to create the most dramatic golfing experiences and countless moments of risk. With the Levante wind frequently blowing across the course, Serena can at times be extremely challenging, but is sure to be an enjoyable addition to any golf holiday package.
Situated next to Mar Menor, Hotel SerenaGolf 4* stands on a unique place for its privileged climate: more than 300 days of sunshine per year and annual average temperatures of 20 degrees
Elegant and welcoming, the Hotel has 85 rooms, 5 of which are suites, all of them with excellent sea or golf views.
Serena’s facilities include an outdoor pool as well as an indoor heated pool, spa, fitness centre and of course the Golf club and clubhouse. Its location offers many possibilities: 10 minutes away from the airport, 10 minutes from the beaches of el Mar Menor as well as the city of Cartagena and its shopping areas.

Lots of bunkers and lots of water so quite difficult to navigate around having not played here before.

Weather conditions could not take buggy on fairways there was 1 hole unplayable because the fairways where flooded on hole number 1 apart from that was very good

The only issue my group had was that there were a lot of repairs on the fairways. Good challenge with the amount of water. Again this course was only 20 mins from our hotel.

Found this course very difficult and frustrating. There seemed to be far to much focus on huge bunkers that took forever to rake. The water hazards are a significant hazard on 16 holes.

Great course and great round of golf. Unfortunately there was a group of locals behind who complained about everything. The marshals asked us to pick up the speed for running 5 minutes behind time. Course itself was a great track. Would play the course again.

Unfortunately locals joined our group, one player wasn’t our type of person so spoilt the round. Make sure you have groups of 4 to avoid others joining your holiday group.

unfortunately 3 holes were being dug up without any warning - tgold to do 10-18 first for a good reason as the 5-7 were under repair

Lots of water, long difficult course, we all have low teen handicaps. Day was spoilt to discover 2 wallets and a phone was stolen from bags while on practise area. No warnings from the club but apparently its not the first time. No security cameras etc.

What a find….we were extremely pleased to have bolted this course on the end of our trip as our flight was moved back 24 hours. I’ve stated average, but the water made it more difficult for the higher handicappers, and there is a lot of it, however It is flat and picturesque and we will definitely return to play next year
