The first tournament of 2023 sees LIV Golf visit Mexico to play one of the most popular resort courses at The El Camaleon Golf Course at Mayakoba. The tour's next stops include Arizona, Florida, Adelaide, Singapore, Tulsa, Washington DC, The Costa del Sol, London, Virginia, New Jersey, Chicago, Florida and ending the season in Jeddah.

We take a closer look at some of the venues the LIV Golf Tour will visit during 2023.

Valderrama Golf Club

The are very few courses in Europe with a golfing portfolio like that of Valderama. The course itself was designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr. who is arguably one of the best golf course architects there has ever been and as a result of his genius it has been a host of both the prestigious Spanish Masters and the 1997 Ryder Cup.

Set in land from the coast, the course winds its way through trees and lakes to test both a golfer’s physical capabilities but also their tactical nouse.

Despite being one of the more difficult courses in the Costa Del Sol, there are a variety of different tees which make the course accessible for golfers of all skill levels.

Blue Monster at Trump National Doral

Aptly named the “Blue Monster”, the course measures in at an enormous 7,590 yards and features an array of water hazards which are sure to have a few golf balls in them. In 2014, the course underwent a re-vamp which saw every hole resculpted and designed into the modern day masterpieces they are now. The deep bunkers, thick rough and undulating greens requires golfers to drive the ball long but also have a razor sharp short game in order to score.

The course has hosted numerous world golf championships and has a closing hole that is viewed as one of the toughest holes on the PGA Tour. Florida’s year round sun makes it a great play championship golf courses and escape the dark winters of the U.K.

El Camaleon Golf Club - Mayakoba

El Camaleon Golf Course was the first PGA Tour Golf Course in Latin America, designed by LIV Golf CEO & Commissioner Greg Norman, the layout combines tropical jungle, dense mangroves, freshwater canals and pristine Riviera Maya oceanfront.

Golfers are provided with spectacular views in every direction and the course is a joy to play for all abilities with five sets of tees on every hole. As the warm waters of the Caribbean lap against the picture perfect beaches at Playa Del Carmen, it is difficult to imagine anywhere more beautiful to enjoy a game of golf.

Orange County National - Crooked Cat

Both the golf courses at Orange County National features significant elevation changes, rolling fairways and large, contoured greens. The Crooked Cat layout has fewer trees than Panther Lake and wider fairways lined with native heather giving it a look of a traditional links course.

Just like links-style courses, there can be an element of chance, a wayward shot can end up in a grass bunker, visiting golfers may find themselves scrambling for a good score. Exposed in places the wind can become a factor, if you can adjust your ball flight then you will excell here.

Even if you don’t have ball shaping down to an art, Crooked Cat is incredibly fun to play. No other Orlando Florida golf course offers this much versatility, challenge, and fun.
