Located at 68 degrees North and above the arctic circle you will find the breath taking Golf resort of Lofoten Links. With steep mountains, white sandy beaches and small fishing villages, with picturesque red shacks that surround it, Lofoten Links is a true Norwegian experience.
On Gimsøy island about midway between Svolvaer and Leknes it faces north making it the perfect spot for the midnight sun or Northern Lights – stronger than elsewhere in the world.

Lofoten Links
Lofoten Links is a spectacular 18-hole links course which is beautifully situated on the island of Gimsøya in Lofoten, Norway. The course is located by the seaside with an unobstructed view to the North and the midnight sun, from the end of May till the end of July, the sun never sets! Playing and walking the course is a grand experience where the ocean is a water hazard on several holes and sandy beaches act as natural bunker.
Lofoten Links is one of the few courses in the world to offer a chance to play golf in the midnight sun! From end of August until the end of October you can play golf at daytime and experience the Northern Lights at night.

Accommodation at Lofoten Links
The lodges are north facing with a spectacular view towards the northern lights and the great ocean, which makes them unique in Lofoten. The Links Lodges are one of the best places to experience this Natural light show.
There are 11 Lodges in total, most can sleep up to 7 or 8 people. Some bedrooms will be ensuite, some Lodges will have shared bathrooms.
All have large communal living areas with fireplaces, kitchens and a terrace area with spectacular views across the bay.
A short walk from the lodges is the rustic restaurant Låven. A unique venue built more than 70 years ago. It is an old but beautifully redecorated barn house. Restaurant Låven offers traditional local food as well as a modern cuisine. It is also the place where those staying in the lodges will have their breakfast and other meals during the stay.

Absolutely amazing location wonderful experience playing golf in the midnight sun. Tee boxes and greens not great. But the location was absolutely fabulous. YGT however were poor did very little to support us and tried to charge us £20 to change a tee time. Poor service and then the app didn’t work whilst I was away.

Wonderful views and amazing course. Fairways and greens affected by ice in the winter. Despite this it was still a wonderful course. Staff amazing especially Andy the GM.
