We had a very enjoyable stay at McDonald Dardrona hotel - room was large and comfortable with a lovely view to the 18th hole and the hills beyond. The evening meal was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Breakfast the following morning was very good and set us up well for another round on the golf course!! We didn't have time to use the leisure facilities, however they looked excellent as well with a fully equipped gym and good sized pool.

The parkland style golf course is set upon the rolling hills of the Borders, with the River Tweed flowing peacefully alongside it. However, do not be fooled by its beauty, Cardrona can be a real test of golf, as those who have played it on the PGA Europro Tour can testify.
Whilst the idyllic location seems far removed from the real world, Cardrona is only 40 minutes from Edinburgh and 90 from Glasgow, a great place to escape from either city for a short break. The hotel itself offers guests luxury modern accommodation, with a variety of excellent on-site facilities, including; a restaurant, two bars, pool, spa and fishing in the River Tweed.
