It is reasonable to say that the front and back nines have very little in common; the first half encounters fairly flat terrain, and the obstacles are sparse, yet enormous trees, while the second nine is densely wooded. On the way home, the course cuts its way through the trees, and is considerably more undulating, while the large greens are guarded by cavernous bunkers.
At over 7,000 yards from the championship markers, Mottram Hall is a formidable test and will challenge all facets of the game. After your round, relax in the newly refurbished clubhouse, which serves drinks and light meals in a relaxed atmosphere.
The on-site golf school offers superb tuition facilities, and the resident PGA professionals can offer their considerable expertise on a one-to-one basis.
The Tytherington Club
Opened in 1986, The Tytherington Club was one of the UK's first custom-built golf and Health & Fitness clubs. Our 18 Hole Championship Course was designed by Patrick Dawson and Dave Thomas with the lush backdrop of the Pennines. Set within gently rolling parkland in the heart of Cheshire, the course winds through mature woodland and follows the natural contours of the land.
With more than 100 bunkers and eight water features, it is not difficult to see why The Tytherington is considered one of the finest Golf Courses in the North West.
