The opening hole is a double-dogleg par-five with water threatening off the tee to the right, then curling back in on the left as you work your way towards a long, relatively flat green. Longer hitters can get greedy and go for it in two, but the water and the slope off the right side of the green make a sensible layup the smarter play for most. It is a hole that sets the tone immediately: there is always a tempting line and always a consequence for misjudging it.

Each of the three six-hole loops has its own distinct look and feel. The routing uses the naturally rolling terrain of the Nakhon Pathom landscape with real intelligence, moving between open water features, tighter tree-lined corridors and more exposed stretches where the Thai heat and any breeze become additional factors. The par-threes across the 18 holes are a particular highlight, ranging from short, precise pitch-and-putt tests over water to longer, more exposed carries where club selection becomes a genuine conversation between you and your caddie.

The greens are fast and contoured throughout and have a strong reputation for conditioning across the Bangkok region. Course presentation is a real strength here, with fast greens and tidy fairways adding to the premium feel of the day. Approach play matters: miss the wrong side and the chip or putt back is rarely straightforward. The bunkering is strategic rather than punitive, positioned to catch the ambitious line rather than the sensible one, which keeps the course engaging for higher handicappers while still testing the better player.

At 6,789 yards from the tips, there is enough length to respect, but the course never feels like it is simply trying to overpower you. The 6-6-6 structure gives the round a natural rhythm of its own, with each six-hole loop arriving with a fresh set of challenges and a slightly different visual identity. You will want to play it again, not because the scorecard did not go your way, but because you know there is more to discover.

The variety across the three loops is what makes Nikanti genuinely replayable. Where the first loop might test you with water off the tee and demanding approach angles, the next shifts the challenge entirely, asking for more precise iron play into tighter targets or longer carries on the par-threes. It keeps you engaged from the first hole to the last in a way that a more conventional routing rarely manages.
