Olympic Lagoon Resort is a five-star all-inclusive right on a Blue Flag beach in Paphos, with golden sand, easy sea access and the sort of pool set-up that keeps both golfers and non-golfers happy. Since opening it's become one of the resort names you see come up again and again for Cyprus sun holidays, and I can see why, it's built for mixed groups.

You've got a proper wellness centre, multiple pools, water slides for the kids and a beach on your doorstep for watersports. If you're here primarily for golf, you're well placed for some of the region's best-known courses, so you can get your rounds in without turning the trip into a logistical headache for everyone else.

The real win is the layout. The main building has a lively family feel, while the adults-only wing gives couples and golf groups a quieter base when you want to swap pool games for a calmer sunbed and a book. Add six restaurants, five bars and a spa that's ideal after 18 holes in the heat, and it lands as a strong all-rounder for a Cyprus golf break.

Who is this for?
Golfers who want a simple, all-inclusive base in Paphos, especially if you're travelling with family or a partner who'd rather be by the pool than on the range.

Who is it best for?
Mixed groups who want golf within easy reach, plenty of resort life on-site and the option of adults-only calm when you've had your fill of the family buzz.

Accommodation at Olympic Lagoon Resort

The resort is split into two wings. The main building is family-focused, with spacious Deluxe Rooms featuring air conditioning, wifi, a fully equipped bathroom, TV and a private balcony with inland or sea views. These rooms are designed to give you space to relax after a round, with enough comfort and kit to make the stay feel premium without being fussy.

For families, the Family Suites are the most practical choice. You get a double bed for parents, comfortable single beds for children and a sliding partition that divides the space so you can enjoy some privacy once the little ones are asleep. It's a thoughtful layout that makes a real difference when you're sharing a room with children and still want to unwind properly in the evening.

Couples and adult groups will prefer the adults-only wing, which is calmer and centred around the Serenity pool. The Honeymoon Suite is the standout, an all-white, sea-facing room designed for special occasions and quieter stays. The suite is built for romance, with décor and furnishings that create a sense of intimacy and a full, uninterrupted sea view that's hard to beat. If you're celebrating a special occasion or just want a more exclusive feel, this is the room to book.

If you're travelling as a group, the Executive Rooms with interconnecting doors are ideal. You can book them separately or together, and each room has its own en-suite bathroom and veranda, so you get the social option without losing personal space. It's a flexible, high-end option that works particularly well for golf groups who want a bit more than the standard room but don't need a full suite. Each room features contemporary furniture and a finish that blends classic style with modern luxury.

Dining at the resort is varied and genuinely good. The main restaurant, Royal Olympic, serves a buffet spread at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with enough choice to keep you interested across a week-long stay. For something different, Captain's Deck offers al fresco dining under the stars, perfect for a post-round meal when you want to stay outside and enjoy the evening warmth.

If you're after a more intimate setting, Seven Orchids is the adults-only restaurant serving excellent Asian cuisine on an à la carte basis. It's a strong choice for a quieter dinner away from the main buffet. Before or after, the You & Me bar and Xperience Arena are both solid spots for drinks, while the pool bar keeps you topped up with cocktails, soft drinks and light lunches throughout the day without having to leave your sun lounger.

Beyond the rooms and restaurants, Olympic Lagoon delivers on facilities. The Serenity Spa is a genuine oasis, offering a full range of treatments that work wonders after a long day walking 18 holes in the heat. There are five themed swimming pools, including an adults-only option and a water slides pool that will keep children entertained for hours. The resort also has its own beach area where the crystal-blue Mediterranean provides the backdrop for watersports, paddleboarding and simply cooling off between rounds.

If you're basing yourself in Paphos, you're in one of Cyprus' best pockets for a multi-round trip. Popular options include Aphrodite Hills, Elea Estate and Minthis, each offering a very different day out, from resort-style golf with sea views to more strategic layouts that reward accurate driving.

Friendly and helpful staff. Went all inclusive. Buffet very good for breakfast and dinner. Didn’t lunch as out for golf. American Diner was average, more for children. Asian restaurant good, captain’s deck average. The Italian you need to book up quick but is more formal - trousers and shirt required. Rooms very comfortable. Good bar service although closes off at 11.30pm unless you pay.

Great holiday including the golf overall would go again, one complaint was the ability to get dinner in the so called themed restaurants with exception of the American diner or the buffet .

The main restaurant food was consistently excellent quality with plenty of variety. Never really got too crowded and staff pleasant and attentive. The Captains Deck Greek restaurant was pleasant, but food not very authentic - internationalised - and we didn’t really rate it. Garibaldi Italian restaurant was fabulous. Lovely ambience and excellent 7 course taster menu. Pan Asian restaurant was ok, but to be honest I think Asian options in main restaurant will have been just as good. The one thing the hotel could improve is the staff in the pool bar and around the pool area serving/collecting drinks etc. - they were generally pretty grumpy and unhappy looking. In marked contrast to the rest of the hotel staff who were bright, cheerful and very helpful.
