Pirin Golf & Country Club is a 150-hectare resort in southwest Bulgaria, framed by the Pirin, Rila and Rodopi mountains and sitting just outside Bansko. Carved through a towering coniferous forest with stunning mountain views, the 5-hole Pirin Pine course is full of charm and consequence, with one wayward shot a risk to any discerning golfer’s score.
The Pirin Golf Hotel & Spa has 71 rooms and suites with a warm, alpine feel and panoramic mountain views. Rooms are a strong fit for golf groups who want an easy, hotel-style base with everything on hand after the round. Expect comfortable beds, balconies or terraces in many categories and bathrooms that lean into the recovery theme with a hydromassage bath.
Room options range from Standard and Superior up to Family rooms and a small number of suites, so you can match the trip to your budget and how much space you want. Pirin Golf & Country Club is located just outside Bansko in southwest Bulgaria, around two hours from Sofia International Airport, traffic and winter conditions dependent. The drive passes through mountain scenery that becomes increasingly dramatic as you approach the resort. Transfers can be arranged through the resort or independently, and the proximity to Bansko means guests have easy access to the town's restaurants, bars and winter sports infrastructure when they want a change of scene from the resort itself.

Nothing else going on, when specifically asked for extra things other than golf, low season so limited staff and waiting times for drinks were long. All the shops and restaurants in the complex were either shut or had limited openings.

Hotel is good rooms could benefit from a refresh overall fantastic value for money . Buffet food was only warm shame this could not be rectified. Lots of swimming pools all very warm.

Remote location, overlooked by mountains wooden chalet style hotel set up for ski season, needs updating throughout. Staff are friendly when approached. Food was adequate for our needs. Course makes the hotel bearable.

The rooms were incorrectly managed and many of us were not in the hotel but in non-serviced accommodation for five days. There was no clear explanation of all-inclusive ending at 10.30pm. Booked meal in the Greek restaurant that the 8 guests rated as one of their worst food experiences in a restaurant. Transport was messy for bringing people to hotel. Was told only one transfer available but people were coming in on flights all over europe. The problem with the whole complex is management not good enough for the level of facilities.

Hotel was functional and did what we needed , some of the staff were really hard work , struggled With English on a basic level and sometimes rude , the food was basic and not great and the retail Menu was very hardwork , the staff didn’t seem to like you deviating from the all inclusive menu, half the restaurants were closed and only one bar was open , although the golf course was really Nice and the hotel was functional we wouldn’t be going back .

Thick rough making it very hard, and lost lots of balls. Course has been updated recently so no watched or GPS matches up so needed a range finder or a buggy.

Golf course is fantastic one of the best I have played. Very Green everywhere rough is a bit long making it important to stay on the fairway. Some yellow tees are worn but that's all I could fault.

The golf course we really nice and we had an amazing week , there were some parts that were waterlogged due to bad weather , the course wasn’t very busy and that was nice as we didn’t have to wait at tee boxes , overall we were very happy

Course was was very picturesque sat in the middle of the mountains. Challenging course but some good scoring holes too. The only let down was how confusing it is to know where to go from hole 9-10, and then 14 to 15 when playing course C. It didnt. align with the buggy map or VPAR. But overall didn’t stop for a very enjoyable round.
