The Ryder Cup legend a two-time US Masters champion completed a careful redesign programme, focusing on the holes that most needed attention, but was careful not to tamper too much with the existing environment. The result is spectacular, as Pula is now home to a genuinely testing par-70 course.

Measuring 6,676 yards at its fullest, this may not be the longest championship course around, but as the professionals will testify, when the wind picks up - as it often does at Pula - matching the par of 70 is a formidable proposition. As well as the golf, The Pula complex has everything to meet the golfer's needs, including a delightful clubhouse-cum-hotel which has been renovated from an ancient farmhouse, dating back to 1581. Very Good

Good society type course of the yellow tees. Greens were fast and challenging which resulted in putting and chipping difficulties. However, we eventually got used to it.
