Ranked as the 13th best golf course in Spain, Real Club de Golf La Herreria was formed in 1966 and was designed originally by Antonia Gomez. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Guadarrama Mountain Range, the course gifts guests with stunning views of the mountains and then the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. With undulating, tree lined fairways the course places an emphasis on accuracy off the tee and following the addition of 3 water hazards in 2000, precision in the approach to the green is also key. The 18th hole is arguably one of the most stunning finishing holes in Spain and doglegs left. Walking away with a 4 on this whole is tough work as the 2 tiered, quick green makes it incredible hard to stop the ball on and with bunkers right and an out of bounds to the rear of the putting surface, accuracy is a must.
