Tikida Golf Palace

Set right on the fairways of Golf du Soleil, Tikida Golf Palace is one of those resorts that makes a golf holiday feel effortless. The hotel reopened after a full refurbishment in summer 2019 and it shows, with a smart five-star finish and a boutique feel thanks to just 54 rooms.

The big win here is location. If you're the sort of golfer who'd rather spend time on the range than in a transfer, you'll love the fact you're staying on-site at Golf du Soleil. Early tee time? It's a short stroll. Finished your round? You're back at the pool or in the spa within minutes.

Agadir is a cracking shout for winter sun too. You get warm days, plenty of blue sky and reliable playing conditions when it's cold and wet back home, which is exactly what most of us are chasing on a Morocco golf break. When you do fancy a change from golf, you've got the coast close by, plus a shuttle option to the beach.

If you're looking for a small-scale five-star base that keeps everything simple, golf at your doorstep, spa on tap and sunshine that does its job, Tikida Golf Palace ticks a lot of boxes.

Who is this for?
Golfers who want a walk-on, stay-and-play base in Agadir with five-star comfort and strong spa facilities.

Who is it best for?
Couples and small groups planning a winter-sun break where golf is the main event but the spa and beach are part of the plan.

Golf du Soleil

Guests will have access to the Golf du Soleil Club where they will find three beautiful courses and thanks to Agadir’s legendary climate will find it hard to stay away. The Blue course is situated in the middle of a eucalyptus forest and features gently undulating fairways and plenty of water. This stunning course is perfectly complimented by two nine hole courses: The Red and The Yellow. All of the courses at Golf du Soleil are akin to classic American designs in Florida and feature plenty of water, large white bunkers and elevated greens.

Accommodation at Tikida Golf Palace

Tikida Golf Palace keeps it boutique with 54 rooms, all set up for a comfortable golf stay. You've got air conditioning as standard, complimentary Wi-Fi for checking tee times and yardages and 24-hour room service if you get back late and fancy something easy. The refurbishment has brought everything up to contemporary five-star standard, with clean lines, quality finishes and enough space to spread out after a day on the course.

Facilities are a big part of the appeal. There's an outdoor pool for a post-round dip and a well-equipped gym if you like to keep things moving between rounds. The real headline, though, is the Tikida Spa. Expect the classic Morocco staples, including a hammam and sauna, plus an indoor pool with ambient lighting and bubble jets and a jacuzzi. The hammam and sauna are perfect for easing tired legs after 36 holes in the sun, while the indoor pool offers a calming escape when you need to properly switch off. Massage and beauty treatments are available too, which makes this a smart pick if your group likes to mix golf with proper downtime.

Food is straightforward and convenient. La Table du Golf is the on-site restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, with views over the course so you still feel close to the action even when you've put the clubs away. For beach time, there's a complimentary shuttle to the Riu Tikida Beach hotel, putting you within easy reach of Agadir's main beachfront. The hotel also offers access to a private beach if you'd rather swap the busier sand for something quieter.

The combination of on-course location, boutique scale and strong facilities makes Tikida Golf Palace a smart choice for golfers who want quality, convenience and the option to do more than just play golf, all without the sprawl of a larger resort.

Would have benefited from having a shop on site as there was nothing near by.

Really lovely peaceful hotel. Rooms are beautiful. Staff excellent. However, it’s really isolated. There’s only one restaurant with limited menu. The only option is to take 6pm hotel shuttle into Agadir and taxi back. Be warned it’s not that easy to always get a taxi that will come out of town to Tikida Palace. Approx cost is £9/10.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Perfect for couples or those wanting a peaceful stay. There is no nightlife here…the bar is open but don’t expect entertainment. It was exactly what we wanted though. Just a 10 minute walk from golf du Soleil alongside a par four and par five! Or there is always a man on a golf buggy waiting to take you. Rooms are incredible. So big and decadent. Really recommend

The hotel is a very quiet with not a lot of atmosphere. Fine if you want to hide away and enjoy peace and tranquility. We were two couples playing golf and had to go to town every evening as there is only one restaurant.

Superb hotel with a lovely ambience. Facilities were well mainatained and the staff were very firneldy and welcoming. Very few English at the hotel with 4 or 5 largish groups of older French golfers. Pool and junior suite were wonderful.

A beautiful boutique hotel with very friendly staff and lovely surroundings. I prefer Mediterranean style food. The food was good but not to my taste, not enough, fruit and vegetables. Close proximity to the golf was also excellent but nowhere to walk outside of the hotel, very isolated. Once dinner was over there was only the bar to frequent or back to your room. The paths on the golf course could be lit so that you could go for a walk.
