From entering the foyer at arrival to departure we had a lovely holiday. The staff were genuinely pleased that we were guests and really looked after us. Everywhere you went you were greeted by happy staff and any requests were attended to immediately. The overriding impression that we took home was how lovely the staff and locals were, certainly a recommendation for a return visit.
We had asked for a quiet room and David from Your Golf Travel had pulled out all the stops for us. A lovely room with sea view (across the golf course) and overlooking the "natural" swimming pool which had been planted up and the water was filtered through the reeds.
The room was spotlessly clean with two visits a day from Housekeeping (the evening turn down service included change of towels etc where necessary and bottled water and chocolate).
We were on a Half board deal, breakfasts were amazing with such a variety of options. Each evening there was a buffet which was beautifully laid out at various stations. The menu options changed every daily. The chefs were happy to explain what was in each tagine, to showcase local dishes or to cook european food. The restaurant staff were helpful and so efficient. Particular mention must go to Houda, Youssef Rhanbaja and Simohamad who made each visit to the restaurant such a good experience.
One evening we went to the L'Atelier aux Aromes restaurant, also situated in the hotel, where Chef Mohamad Abaragh and Chief Brahim sakroun had arranged a five course menu celebrating their skills and time at the hotel. We were allowed to offset our daily halfboard allowance against the cost. What feast! Both chefs showcased their creative talents, presentation and flavours were sublime.
In every department in the hotel whether it was Front of House, Restaurant and Bar staff, live music from local musicians, Housekeeping, Ground staff, Security etc etc, the hospitality was flawless and made the whole holiday experience so enjoyable and memorable.
