Terme di Saturnia

The 6,900-yard layout rolls over gently undulating terrain and provides some wonderful holes that both challenge and entertain as well as allowing you to enjoy some breathtaking scenery provided by the natural splendour of the valley of Saturnia. The course is only a short distance from the hotel and is set over 70 hectares of terrain. It's made up of some gentle slopes and the fairways only gently undulate, but the course is endowed with a large number hazards and bunkers defending wide and long greens. If you would like to practise or take a couple of golf lessons, there is a special school and driving range. The two driving ranges are situated 350 metres apart. The southern one has 9 covered positions, video camera facilities and high-tech analysis equipment for swing correction, while the northern one, near the first hole, is used for everyday practice and by players readying themselves for a game.

Terme di Saturina Spa & Golf Resort provides some wonderful accommodation in the form of 140 smartly appointed rooms, comprising of 2 Grand Suites, 11 Executive Rooms and 60 Deluxe Rooms. Even the smallest of details, from the flooring to the ambient lighting and the variety of fabrics, has been given the highest levels of attention in the designing process to create an atmosphere of total well-being.

There are two superb dining options to choose from at the Resort. The Michelin Starred Restaurant All’Acquacotta serves exquisite food which is heavily influenced by the intense and authentic flavours of the Mediterranean, whilst at the same time providing stunning views over the source of the hot spring. The Restaurant Aqualuce allows you to treat yourself to a fantastic candlelit dinner overlooking the mystical spring, serving traditional Tuscan cuisine which will take you back in time with the authenticity of flavours of yesteryear.

A main attraction of Terme di Saturina Spa is the location. It is situated above a volcanic crater which feeds the hot springs directly into the heart of the resort. This priceless commodity cannot be copied or imitated, making it a very unique asset to the Resort – attracting visitors from all across the world. The large thermal pool which is at the hub of the Resort has high levels of gasses and mineral salts and maintains a constant temperature of 37.5˚C. The Resort also provides “The Ultimate Spa” - a world class spa facility which offers a choice of treatments that create experiences and sensations that surpass the traditional perceptions of a spa.

Facilities at the Resort also include a remarkable Roman Bath, sauna, Turkish bath, while the natural spring conveniently feeds the thermal collection of swimming pools, waterfalls, Jacuzzis and waterways.
