The Tivoli is a sprawling older hotel with a great location in the centre of Lagos. Our room was a good size and the staff were friendly and efficient. We only had breakfast in the hotel, choosing to dine out in the evenings at the many good restaurants nearby. The hotel was however “tired”, particularly in the outside areas where it needed quite a lot attention to bring it up to true four star standard.
With its prime location in the Western Algarve, Tivoli Lagos offers golfers access to some of Portugal’s best courses, while staying in an excellent central hotel. The quality of golf in the Algarve is well known, with stunning vistas over rolling hills, often in view of the Atlantic Ocean, playing courses such as Palmares and Espiche will make a golf break to remember.
Set in the heart of Lagos, one of the most beautiful towns on the Algarve, the Tivoli Lagos is an excellent 4* hotel that offers a genuinely Portuguese experience. With the striking blue and white décor that is typical of the region, as well as a free shuttle to the beach, the Tivoli Lagos is a beautiful and popular base for a golf holiday.
