The original golf course was only 15 holes and was designed by Wille Park Jr in 1914. The remaining 3 holes were not actually introduced to the golf course until 1952 and it wasn’t until that point it was a full 18 hole golf course.

Though Tynemouth Golf Club is located near the coast, and as its name suggests, near the mouth of the Tyne, it is a classical parkland layout. The course spans the gentle undulations of the delightful estate and is a pleasurable and relaxing part of a golf tour around Newcastle. This should be one that is on your list of golf courses to play in the Newcastle area and one that others something a little different from the rest.
