The friendliest little hotel my Son and I have stayed at on our golfing breaks. Rooms are a little dated and cramped, but not overly so. Food was good and bar was well stocked. Big shout out to Jack behind the bar for his help.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Staff, including those in the pro shop were excellent. Food choice was limited but of good quality. Would have preferred to have chosen meal choice when seated rather than the start of the day but understand why the hotel does this.

Friendly staff, nice rural location easy to reach from the M1 and great value for money. The hotel itself is in need of some investment and our room was quite noisy as it overlooked the extraction fan from the kitchen

The Hotel provided a varied menu for the evening meal.An excellent meal and the breakfast had everything to offer. The food provided was of a very good standard.

Had a 1 night golf break…. Absolutely brilliant! Staff (especially Carolyn..Caz) were all so friendly and helpful. Golf course excellent. Lovely warm bedroom queensize bed great staff all of them even the cleaners stop and have a chat with lovely people the choice of evening meal was excellent the breakfast and bar dining room was lovely comfortable the golf shop I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cam who was kind and helpful we were made welcome in the members lounge by the everyone on the golf course and in the lounge thank you to Harvey at golf travel for a great deal we look forward to going back to ulsthorpe in the summer months I would recommend it to all golfers there's alot of nice people out there playing let's all be nice to each other and enjoy the beautiful game 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hotel is lovely, comfortable and clean. Staff very nice and very good food. Only criticism I have is the cost of drinks, but coming from London, I am used to it. Overall, very impressive and will definitely go back. Group of 24.

Restaurant staff excellent, not impressed with set menu choice. shower in room very poor.

Nice standard basic room. Food was excellent and the service matched it. Drinks were very expensive and the discount received from YGT was only 10% instead of the usual 20%. Everything was organised and waiting for us on arrival and check in was very smooth. We would return.

Lovely place

The spa advertised opening at 6:30am but the sauna didn’t open until 9am. This was a shame as would have liked to use it early. Other than that this is a great place

This was a really good trip for a golf group holiday. Every single staff member was welcoming, polite and helpful. The hotel felt spacious with plenty of sitting areas. The group was really appreciated the use of a private dining room.

The hotel and staff were excellent. Our only small issue was in the evening the dinning room was very busy,however it was a golfing trip and you have to expect some large groups.

My group had a great time. No problems encountered at all. Prices for sandwiches were a bit high in the bar area but everything else was fine. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good. Overall, great value.

Friendly and hospitable staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Good food in the restaurant. Good value for money though, so nothing to complain about really, the pool is a little small for length swimming, nice jacuzzi though.

Overall very well run Hotel plenty of staff on hand. The evening meal was good although some of our party upgraded to Rib eye steak which was very poor. The hotel did nock off the additional cost for this item. Felt the breakfast was average tea/coffee luke warm dispensed from pots not individual pots but again plenty of staff in restaurant.

We had a disabled room which was a good size. Standard rooms are smaller.

Very wet day. But the pro and his staff let us haves buggy for which we were very grateful every one was very friendly the course was great and the food was fantastic we will surely return

Generally very good but the service in the restaurant was very slow on the second evening. Also the showers in some rooms were very low on pressure producing a rather poor shower flow.

The hotel was comfortable and had the main facilities you would want for a one night stay. Nice bar, staff very friendly. As a group of vegeterians the set menu was a little challenging for dinner. Rooms are slightly dated but again for a one night stay not much to complain about.

Hotel and rooms where clean and tidy, more than adequate for our trip. Staff where very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast and evening meal where a good choice and everyone in the party had great feedback.

This would have been 5* all the way but for the evening meals service first night 3 1/2 hours second night 3 1/2 hours and we left before dessert, very poor service although the staff worked very hard.

The hotel was ideal for our golf break, we had a standard room it was clean, had all the amenities, and good value for money. The staff all had good manners, and were well presented, nothing was to much trouble for them.

Rooms a bit on the smaller side and a bit gloomy. No Aircon, but fans available. Comfortable beds & pillows made for a good nights sleep. Really good food and bar snacks represent good value. Restaurant meals were generous too!

Staff were very friendly. Hotel looks a bit tired and dated and the food we had as part of the package was very poor quality.

A great venue, the food was excellent. The golf was rained off on the Friday and Sunday. Only disappointing thing was the rain stopping play and the expensive beverage bill. We only got informed the the last night , that if you put the drinks on your room bill you would received 20 percent off your alcohol bill. Reception and bar staff didn’t inform us of this at the start of the golf weekend. The manager apologised to us the last evening. Recommend this to other groups!

The weekend went well and the staff did all that was asked of them. I would certainly consider a return to this venue.

The twin room had everything you needed & a nice hot powerful shower is always a plus. The staff were all good

The hotel from start to finish for the weekend was fantastic, All staff willing to go out of there way to help. Rooms very accommodating, clean and spacious but no tea or coffee in the rooms. The food was very good and the front of house service staff were very good.

Excellent stay at a very comfortable hotel where all the staff were pleasant especially Sharon who served us at breakfast. (We argued which of us was going to take her home! nothing too much trouble for her)Would be happy to book next year.

Our golf society has been to Ullesthorpe several times, because of its close proximity to the hotel and its interesting variety of fairways and greens . It is quite a tough course and can be quite challenging

As average golfers we found it a bit long and tough but we absolutely loved playing the course for the test. Greens are amazing and fast never a straight putt. Fairways amazing

Course was all good but the tee boxes needed some attention

Although play was slow - it was expected as it was Ryder cup weekend, not the longest course but some interesting holes of varying difficulty - would certainly play again.

1st round was slow due to a competition going on at the same time as us but overall enjoyable.

Fairly open course but OB tight on a few holes. A good mix of holes - long par 4s, short par 4s, doglegs.

Course was good with some great short holes. Some of the greens were marked up (I thought at first it was someone wearing metal spikes in front of us, but it was so widespread). Having said that, it’s a very enjoyable course to play and gets you thinking a little. Alice in the pro shop was super helpful as was Caz in the clubhouse. Nice little halfway stop selling baps, chocolate, drinks. Tobias in there was very friendly and attentive. All in all, although it’s not top, top notch, it’s a very friendly honest course and club. Would we play here again? You bet we would. Can’t wait to see the new driving range and academy opened. Was great to see the juniors going out when we got back. That’s a club supporting the future of golf.

Bank Holiday weekend so quite busy but no major holdups. Sloping greens so quite a test and with windy conditions quite testing

All our group enjoyed the course. Difficult greens but that's the game.

Lovely course had everything, long holes short holes tight holes. Greens could have been a bit quicker and some had indifferent pace. Overall thoroughly enjoyable, every hole had something about it.

The course design is excellent with plenty to consider before each shot. The undulating greens and brooks added to its higher than average slope rating. The course is generally in good condition except the 18th green. Having “preferred lies” this time of year (April) is a good idea to preserve the condition of the course.

A well kept and designed course with plenty of challenge for all levels

The course was generally well presented with some testing holes. I would imagine the greens in top condition would be very difficult to play, however we were unfortunate to get the greens in a very distressed state due to disease. Would probably like to play again when they have recovered.

Heavy rain impacted pace, otherwise excellent

The course was in really good condition and drained really well considering we went in the middle of the late September rain. We got lucky with the weather as only 9 holes played in rain. A really enjoyable course but longish if not a big hitter. Well laid out and attractive holes.

A very nice course kept in a good condition

In general a nicely designed course which could be great with a little more care and attention. Greens were way too long and slow. First cut of rough was too long resulting in lots of time spent searching for balls which were only just off the fairway. Many tees were scruffy and tee markers sloppily painted, which I know sounds petty but a perfect illustration of lack of attention to detail which created an overall impression of an OK course which could be excellent with a bit more TLC.

This year we arrived on a washout day when we did get to play my playing partner and myself always get a buggy no problem last year but I was asked if I have a Blue Badge because they were busy unfortunately I don't have a blue badge but I need a buggy I got a buggy because I'm waiting for a knee replacement but I wasn't happy to be asked about a blue badge there are plenty of Buggies and you can hire electric trolly the buggy cost daily £35 not cheap but after all that the course is lovely some testing greens Lovely cut fairways a nice course to play definitely worth a visit Hotel & golf with golftravel very good and golf travel haven't let us down Thank you

This is a long course, made longer by some lengthy walks between greens and the next tees. The course was very lush and would benefit from aprons on the approach to the greens. Some challenging tee positions especially for ladies, and potentially dangerous tee/green positions. We all enjoyed it.

Great course with challenging greens. Our group has handicaps ranging from 6-28 and all enjoyed the course.

The course was in good condition, but due to number of players very slow especially at the turn on 9 & 10 as they were both par 3’s !

We had a lot of fun. Even the marshall was helpful and good fun

Other golfers were patient as friendly with advice as this was our first time back golfing in years

The course is in good condition, the greens are on slopes making approach shots difficult to judge and to putt on.was told to expect 5hour round,but as two ball managed it in 4.Busy course.

Nice layout but the course was a little tired. The tees were not in a good condition but the greens were acceptable. Drinks cart on the saturday and sunday round and halfway house open sunday. We would come back.

Recent weather conditions meant course was not at its best, but not the fault of greenkeepers who obviously had to use a couple of artificial tees and temporary greens. The course was quiet on Thursday afternoon but the next morning was Good Friday so obviously busier. Again, staff friendly and helpful.

Special mention to "Gary" the course Marshall, who made us feel very welcome, friendly golf pro too, the refreshment cart driving around the course was a welcome touch. Overall an enjoyable experience

Great golf course

If you're looking for an ideal society day out course, this is it. A good challenge but not too long or difficult for the high handicapper. A very enjoyable experience.

Good challenging course, bunkers could do with more sand.

Tricky course, tested the 10 handicapper through to the 28 handicapper. Greens were lovely and the condition overall was outstanding

Looked after very well by the staff. Condition of the fairways was average. The greens were very tough and in a few cases very unfair and nearly unplayable (due to slopes). There were numerous pitch Mark's on the greens. As a party we will not be rushing back ☹

Good set up with plenty of facilities. The pro shop and bar were spot on and ample room inside and out.

Second time at Ullesthorpe. Love the course and we all played well-ish. The course was very dry and the greens were pretty slick. I think every green had a slope on it so not many straight putts. The semi rough was worth avoiding as the grass was the same height as the ball's diameter. So that made it difficult to find and then difficult to hit back out of the rough. But don't be 'put off' by these comments, you will enjoy the course !

Great course, not hard but some very tricky greens, Great course to plot your way round, just needs some practice nets but working on a new practice area which looks great. Well be back

Its winter, so I am sure in the summer it will be a lovely course. It is in good condition considering the season. I loved the elevated tees. Golf Pro was friendly and the club house had the Golf on. In summer I think this will be a great course, maybe its just winter golf but signage to the Winter Tees (Particularly 10th tee)could be better. I look forward to playing again in the summer. The Winter Price deal for 2 people, 2 rounds and dinner Bed and Breakfast made it very good value. I think I might be tempted back in the winter.

Overall very good golf course good test for all abilities our only problem was due to a large society in front of us it took 5and a half hours on the thursday but on friday we were round in under 4 hours. Why do golf clubs do this? Surely they have enough experience to prevent this type of delay on course

Very interesting course in good condition for time of year. Directions to each hole very good. Directions to the toilet facilities at the 9th hole not very clear.

It was very wet so we didn’t see it in it’s best condition I think the summer months it will be fantastic

This course has a bit of everything, short holes, long holes, boring holes, picturess holes, it absolutely won me over, one of the best looking finishing holes I've seen, would highly recommend, the club house facilities are a bit dated but don't let that put you off a fantastic golf course

Course in good condition although the greens were very fast. Very interesting range of holes.

Lovely course in fabulous condition. Greeted on first tee by a very friendly Course Marshall. Greens were something special, sloping and fast....a real putting test. Plenty of water to make your shot choice important. Undulating fairways meant using buggies on Saturday very helpful, unfortunately there were not enough buggies for Sunday.... Overall a great experience and would happily return again !!

The course plays well, makes you think. Very friendly starter who had a nice chat with us and helped us out with any questions. Bar was large and had sports on the TV. Practice facilities slightly lacking, only a small putting green. Course was in good condition, greens a little bumpy in places. We enjoyed the rounds as it was scorable it kept us engaged as 20 handicappers.

Love this course .It has lots of interesting holes ,a mix of easy to tough but fair. Good lay out and well maintained , can be busy with societies and especially corporate days ( Thursdays?) but we generally had 4 to 4 and 1/2 hour rounds ( 4 ball)

Course was very dry because it had not rained for some time. Greens had been watered and were a good speed. Not much sand in the bunkers so best avoided. The 14th and 18th holes were quite a challenge as was the U-shaped par 5 ( cannot remember which hole that was ). The first time I played the course I took a driver off the tee for the par 4 & 5's and found a few bunkers, so the second time round I used a 3-iron off some tees instead. You need to think your way around this course. Enjoyed it immensely.

The course was a good challenging course with plenty tho think about on each hole. The course was a-bit dry and the tee boxes could do with some TLC but overall was great value for money and everyone had good review for the 2 rounds we had.

Very slow rounds 4.5 hours and 5 hours

We had 2 rounds of golf, on Saturday and Sunday, a slight worry about the Tee off time on Saturday at 16.10, but we managed to change it to 14.30 which was ideal for us. We had great weather, fairways and greens were good. Enjoyed our golf break, we would return, and recommend.

What a course……..it has everything from short par 3’s to dog leg’s and over water…. The greens were in great condition and not fast for our level. Found it challenging on all 3 days….. definitely exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic rounds never tee’d off top of a railway bridge before ( onto par 3 ). Course design and landscape brilliant.

A course we hate to love, or love to hate! Fine fairways, but beware most of the greens! Fast greens that were difficult to read. A great golfing experience for all!

Interesting course, most holes were not just rock with a driver and some of the greens were tricky as well.

We played on the Saturday, no rain that day. A Good all round course, everyone enjoyed there experience.

Very frosty on the Sunday all temp greens, but was fun for all to play on an ice rinc. Course in great condition thou. Monday was better sun shinning and some greens open. The course was great for winter golf and a credit to the Green staff for a great job trying to cope.

We played in gale force winds so this made the course more difficult than it should have been. Overall a nice course with a couple of challenging holes. Would like to play it again in calmer conditions.
