Room fine, clean, well maintained. Staff great in bar, restaurants and shop. Location good for golfers or those who want to relax. Those wanting other activities may find it a bit isolated. Didn’t use spa or gym. Food, this was where it varied. Bought in restaurant great. As part of BB and evening meal varied massively. Breakfast at times very limited choice, varied by day as did evening meal. There 5 nights and the rotation in evening meal choices was limited. Ok for our stay but I wouldn’t ideally go Evening meal for longer. 3 other food places within 200 yards, all good. Golf! The course grew on us as we knew it more. Changed from why did we come here to play to really enjoyed today. It is a good course on pretty good condition but you really need to know it to enjoy. We had sub 4 hour rounds mostly, great.

Rooms are very basic. Bathrooms good. Poor quality TV. Food offering very basic and generally poor quality.

The golf course and hotel are both value for money My only suggestion is please provide more vegetarian options, I sometimes found it hard to get anything nutritious

Seamless stay here, comfortable rooms, buffet fine. All transfers etc perfect

hotel at valle del este is siutuated in the middle of the golf course with easy access to all facilities the hotel has been on the go for a number of years now and could benefit from a few upgrades ie usb ports in rooms for charging devices ie phone/sky caddie ect

We had a fantastic stay at the resort. Can't really fault the place.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Our room was comfortable and lovely view over the 9th green. We took advantage of the Spa facilities which was very good. The food in the restaurant was sufficient but not very hot but enough choice for 3 night stay. Overall the hotel is very comfortable but its facilities are beginning to look a little tired.

Even though we requested an adapted room 10 months in advance we failed to get one until I complained. I had e mailed them too but the message did not get passed to reception

Perfect base to come back to after a day of golf. Food options are great, buffet style, choices that cater for most and freshly cooked on the grill in front of you. Pool is clean and plenty of space around it to relax and have a swim.

Very comfortable and quiet room. Staff were attentive (in particular Jenny in the restaurant and Adi in the bar) and the facilities were generally very good. The only downside for me was the limited provision of vegetarian main dishes although there was plenty of food on offer. The stay bought through Yourgolftravel was cheaper than booking direct with the hotel.

Rooms need modernising. Restaurant food was very disappointing. Mattresses uncomfortable.

As usual the hotel was fine with the staff excellent and friendly. The bath/showers could do with modernising eg a walk in shower rather than a climb in.

Return visit to this resort and again it was a very good. Although a price increase of approx 20% from 2024. Still decent value but if we are to return again, the price will be checked before booking.

Excellent stay. Plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner buffets. They were also spread out so you didn’t have to queue. Perfect location just off the motorway and very well kept

The hotel staff were very efficient and welcoming on arrival. The rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. The dining room staff were very accommodating when we needed extra seats at the table. There was a good choice of food on offer.The drinks in the bar are very reasonable priced.

Hotel rooms were clean, fresh towels every day,reception very helpful. Pool was excellent,plenty of beds. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and the same for dinner, different choices every nite. Overall 8/10.

As a regular visitor to Valle Del Este I can only reiterate what I have put in recent years. The hotel is comfortable, the food is good with a wide variety of choice. The staff are very good, always helpful and obliging,

Comfortable rooms. Silent Air con that actually worked keeping the room coo> I find most hotel rooms much too hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was better than I expected

Although the " suites " have now coffee makers in them which is a plus , the rooms are starting to look a little dated . Certain staff have a definite attitude problem and really shouldn't be working in the hospitality sector . Food has improved from recent years .

The rooms were good standard,and very clean.The restaurant had a good choice of food but the seating and lighting do not give a good atmosphere to dine out.Needs some screens and less harsher lights.There is a nearby bar which is great price and service adjacent to hotel and a supermarket too.Take pillows as those in the room are much too hard to sleep on.The hotel is about 50 minutes from almeria airport and a bit isolated.

The Hotel and Staff were excellent we had a fantastic stay. The food and facilities were great and would thoroughly recommend.

Hotel starting to look tired. Air conditioning in rooms did not work during hot stay. Rooms were clean. Very poor selection of overcooked, bland food presented in an uninspired fashion. At time of stay hotel was hosting a wedding party and all food and drink provision seemed to be prioritised in that direction.

Very nice and spacious rooms en suite, views over the course and large swimming pool are excellent. The food and service are first class. This years refurbishment of the Spa area has brought the hotel up to bordering 5 Star and just great after a days golf. This was our 6th visit in 7 years, best value in Spain by a long shot.

If you're looking for value for money this is the place to go.Good hotel comfortable rooms bar prices very reasonable, the only downside is there isn't a fantastic choice in the restaurant,but you wont starve.

Breakfast and Dinner buffet's were both excellent. Decent size rooms and good service made it great value for money.

The Hotel was very comfortable. The rooms a good size big balcony overlooking the golf course. The staff very efficient and helpful. I missed a cosy atmosphere in the bar but would recommend the place because the golf course is good and really value for money.

Nice hotel if maybe a wee bit tired. Very comfortable room with good CH for January. Would not have junior suite again for January as balcony recessed for summer shade - standard room better to capitalise on what heat there is. Cuisine OK but have to be selective. Good reasonably priced wine list. Spa good. For the money our 3 week stay was a steal! Will return but take warm golf gear.

I am biased as i have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times in January. The staff are welcoming and efficient, the rooms good and the food also very good. The weather in January is always pleasant. Rain is almost unheard of and the midday temperature approaches 20. This year for the 3 weeks of our stay it was almost wall to wall sunshine.

Excellent hotel great value for money

always a pleasure to stay here, friendly staff and great rooms with a view. The spa has been updated from our last stay and was a welcome surprise as it was a bit tired last time. The food served in the restaurant was first class and there was always plenty to choose from.

Just got back from Valle del Este in Almeria, great trip highly recommended.

As previously commented gets better as you know it. Would play again. 3rd hole very penal for any stray shot.

Very interesting course with tests of accuracy. Good condition overall and was being kept well. Buggy were high quality however very expensive. Tee times managed well

Interesting course, experiencing various improvements but still very good.

the course is a good test of golfing skills with no two holes the same with a good mix of risk and reward holes overall a good test without being too penal

Loved the course but greens were a bit uneven they looked like they had a lot of traffic

We really enjoyed the course, its punishing if you're a bit wild off the tee but there were plenty of different tee boxes to suit different abilities. The type of grass makes ball striking unforgiving so low point control is critical. There were people walking the course but there are lots of elevation changes so my advice is, get a buggy, drive slowly and enjoy the views. The greens were good, nothing special speed or slope wise, just nice greens to putt on. Play was really slow on our middle day but the other 2 days were fine.

Very nice course with some lovely views. Ground staff were always working hard on it. Suited our ability as older golfers but glad of a buggy as its hilly in places. Very busy and we were paired up on 2 of the 3 days play to accommodate players.

We managed to play the day before it was closing for maintenance. The course was set up for a tournament that finished the day before we arrived so was in perfect condition. Due to the closure, we weren't able to play the course for the weekend and had two away days

A challenging, undulating and at times narrow course best completed using a buggy (if the temperature is particularly hot). A number of the tee boxes are elevated and distant from the path, adding to the physical challenge when walking.

Course not in great condition. Green surrounds were full of bare ground and weeds. Very tight, interesting course. Greens were variable in quality. Tees poorly maintained. No access to short game practice area allowed unless having a lesson.

The length of rounds varied and not always enough marshalls on the course to keep people moving.

Condition of the greens was disappointing, especially compared to last year. Patch repairs in evidence and I found speed variable/inconsistent. The biggest issue we had was over our tee times. 10:50 both days was no problem. On day 1, we decided to get there early to practice pre round. My friend went to the pro shop and was told our tee time is now 10:20 off the 10th tee!! If we had not have gone *early, no doubt we would have missed our tee time. When we came off the course we went to check on our time for the 2nd round, only to find the same changes had been made, again without our knowledge! This cannot be right. The new tee times alone were not a problem for us, but not being informed could well have been a big problem, only for our decision to be in plenty of time. Very disappointing and not acceptable. One party or another (or both) has to take responsibility for informing paying guests of such changes! This again will be a consideration before making future bookings.

Bradley Allmark failed to ask or recommend golf carts adding €70 of unexpected expenses. When confronted with this situation, he didn’t offer any kind of resolution, only that his other clients were satisfied. We are in our 60’s and trying to make the most of our retirement, we are on a fixed income, we have to budget ourselves carefully. A refund would be much appreciated and repeat business from us much more likely. Sincerely, Leo Potts

Always enjoy playing this course, the improvements in the past year are improving the course even more.

The first two days we played we were impressed with the speed of play. On the last day it was spoilt by two large groups being slotted in. We waited a long time on tee ten as groups were still trying to go off and it was then slow. We were told the they had made a mistake as they had double booked the big groups. However we made it round and would return.

The course is very demanding for walking players, with long distances between holes and quite hilly.There was some repair work being done on the greens to replace bare patches. However all our players enjoyed the challenge and will certainly be coming back here.

Ok there was no yellow tee boxes all bing repaired. So you had blue tee or white tee box great if uou play long or blue play short still mix and match great 👍

The greens were terrible, very sandy as they had been spiked days b4 we arrived, they got better as the week went on but still not great. The rest of the course was good tho. The putting practice green has been ripped up and replaced with a croquet green (didn't see anybody playing croquet all the time we were there so couldn't understand that decision) the putting green was shocking and a waste of time. Driving range good tho. Buggies had sat navs which gave wrong distances which was a bit confusing.

The course, despite alterations over the years remains a challenge. The condition for the time of the year was good, the greens true but a little variable in pace. Pace of play was ok with a marshall to move on the slow groups. The Pro's shop was as always very helpful. The new buggies with details of distance were excellent and once again my wife and enjoyed our stay

We have played the course quite a few times before, but this time the overall course condition was the best we have seen. The greens were really excellent. True and fast ( quite a shock to the system coming out from a wintertime UK!) fairways were also excellent. The newly rebuilt 8th hole looks like it has always been there and is a definite improvement. Generally the course conditions and layout seems to improve with every visit

Great course tests you ability in every way

Demanding course even for experienced players. Enjoyable to have 5 attempts. All enjoyed it (took plenty of balls!)

Ive played the course quite a few times and this was the best overall condition i've seen it in. Greens were very good. Quite fast , but true. The 8th hole was being re-modeled so was a very short par 3 which we didn't know in advance. but overall I will certainly go back

Pressure to pair us with another couple. Lots of pressure from course marshal to speed us up, even though we could only go as fast as the players in front of us Course rules abandoned rule regarding waiting for players in front to clear the green before teeing off in a par 3

Tricky course in good condition. Lots of water. If your straight off the tee, this is an advantage. Some of our party lost many balls into the water & hazards. Great if you are staying at the hotel.

Greens ok but course generally in poor condition.Fairways very dry with lack of watering evident. Again probably down to the current situation.

The pace of play during the weekdays was good, but during weekend it was slow, especially on Saturday, there were 2, 4 balls (beginners)ahead of us and they had a coach with them. We had to wait for every shot. Not enjoyable. But the course is in good condition

Really nice typical desert course don't like idea walkers with buggy doesn't work

The golf course is great, not easy because very long and sometimes narrow, but it is a place to recommend. I will surely return and stay a little longer.

A great golf course

Slow play is a real problem here , they seem to put a priority on large groups ( more money ) with smaller ones pushed aside . 5 hours plus was the norm on this course which is useless when you're out at 3.30 and it's dark at 8pm . The greens are still work in progress a year after they were damaged last year , and no one seems tho know what a pitch repairer is for !!

The course is challenging but enjoyable.However the speed of play was generally very slow typically 5 hours but the marshalls were helpful in trying to ensure people were let through behind the mega slow groups.Greens were good condition although slower than we were used to at home ,quite a lot of sand on green surfaces on many holes.The course itself was green but it is set in a scrubland area beyond its boundary so doesnt make for picturesque views.

Excellent course with much on course improvements evident. Considering how much use the course gets it is a triumph. Good pace of play.

Great course ,well maintained. Recommend a buggy unless very fit. Would not recommend this course for high handicappers due to a number of challenging tee shots but ok for low and medium. Excellent driving range and putting facilities on hand. All in all the whole package is highly recommended.

Only the one course but some great holes.Quite a few elevated tee shots which is always nice with some great views.Plenty of buggies and electric trolleys, but you can walk it if you wanted to.Greens were a little slow but we were in June so maybe they were keeping them a bit longer because of the heat.You come off the course and the bar is by the 18th or you can cross the road and visit Karen's bar which is highly recommended.

Very well maintained, great views and even though it's not a particularly long course, strategically placed bunkers and water makes it challenging as well as enjoyable to play.

This course is hard but fair, will be back for a 5 th time next year to better my score !

This is our 3rd year so although it is challenging it is also fun. Lots of golf balls are required as there are water hazards and out of bounds. Play is slow as there are many groups out. We will return next year.

Very good

The course was generally in good condition. The greens were better than in some January visits. The beauty of Val D.Este is that no 2 holes are the same. You have to think your way around. It also has avariety of tees that means a veteran like myself can choose the length i play. In 15 rounds in 3 weeks the longest round time wise was 4hrs. 20min and the shortest 3hrs. 30 min.

Course in fantastic condition much better than recently played on the Costa del sol. Greens in superb condition. Will be back again in magical

Too many people as usual and not enough supervision of players enabling some to play very slowly. On the first day we just finished as the sun set making it a bit difficult. The marshall although present on the course never mentioned the fact that if play was not sped up it would be dark for us as the last group finishing. Etiquette is not observed or enforced on this course and although it is a delight to play it definatley needs some serious policing on the course. Essential maintainance of the greens was taking place so it did make a difference to the round but overall still enjoyable.

The course was very good and played well, there wasn’t to much waiting , the greens had been watered with contaminated water so where a little rough around the fringes and the bunkers had far to much sand in them. That said we had a brilliant 5 days golf

Some tough holes but very enjoyable experience.
