Golf Courses at Belton Woods
Lakes Course
The Lakes Course is the more established of Belton Woods' championship tracks, and represents a formidable challenge for even the better golfers that visit. As its name suggests, it is crucial to negotiate the substantial water hazards, many of which are strategically positioned at the front of the putting surfaces, demanding high-quality approach play.
STATS
Par: 72, S.S.S: 73
Yardage: 6857 Yards
Course Opened in: 1991
Woodside Course
The Woodside Course is Belton Woods' second championship layout, and underlines why it is regarded as one of the best golf resorts in the Midlands. The Woodside is widely regarded to be more playable for the higher handicappers, but there is no shortage of potential obstacles, coming primarily from the many lakes, which are designed to complement the natural undulations of the land itself.
STATS
Par: 73, S.S.S: 70
Yardage: 6623 Yards
Course Opened in: 1991
Red Arrows Course
Most of the holes on the 9-hole Red Arrows Course are little more than 100 yards, but that does not diminish from a very enjoyable and useful experience. It may be aimed primarily at beginners and improvers, but all good golfers know that good scoring is hinged on deadly wedge play, so make use of the academy course to hone those all-important skills.
Belton Woods also has a 20-bay floodlit driving range and short game area for warming up and practicing.
The 9th hole on the Lakes Course is one of the country's longest, at 609 yards - see if you can join the exclusive club to have found the green in two blows.
Accommodation at Belton Woods
475 acres of outstanding rural Lincolnshire land play host to Belton Woods' excellent hotel, where a relaxed atmosphere is combined perfectly with superb facilities to produce a top class package for a golf break in the East Midlands.
The standard of the 136 guest rooms is testament to the recent completion of a £2 million refurbishment plan, making sure that the hotel matches the quality of the golfing facilities. The Classic rooms are more than adequate, while the Ambassadors are larger and have golf course views.
For a special occasion, the opulent suites boast marble bathrooms, whirlpool baths, and a separate living area. This superb hotel, with its accommodation, facilities and service, provides everything a visitor could want from a 4-star golf break.
Those in search of the action will be interested in the swimming pool, fitness centre, tennis and squash courts, in addition to the archery, clay pigeon shooting, go-karting, quad biking and more that are managed by the on-site activity company. There is a slower pace in the Serenity Spa, which offers a variety of health and beauty treatments, while the leisure centre also has a steam room, sauna, whirlpool spa and sun beds.
The Manor Restaurant's outstanding dining room and Mediterranean cuisine have been recognised with an AA Rosette.
Stanton's Brasserie serves home-cooked classics in an informal setting.
The Claret Jug awaits weary golfers in need of refreshment.

Absolutely perfect location under an hours drive, luxurious bedrooms with second to none facilities. Made to feel special from all staff we meet. Meals plentiful and varied, restaurant and bar area spacious and very comfortable. Customer service second to none from the delightful Rachael whoe went above and beyond to make our stay welcome. 10/10 we will be back.
Great hotel lovely location
Great. Room , good food
Very nice location and setting, great for a golf trip with the lads but would also be a nice family get away. Very accommodating staff.
Food/only carvery available all three nights. Some staff had a don't care less attitude. (ordered a bottle of champagne in the main bar next to the restaurant & got told no full bottles of champagne available ?? went to the golf bar & they went to the cellar and got one ???) No one enjoyed the food experience (first time ever).
Our stay was as one would have expected.Having stayed at Forest Pines and Slaley Hall previously Belton Woods is on a par although the two courses are not quite as good as the others.
We had a wondeful tour with our group of 32 and could not fault it in any way. The private dining room was superb and the staff looked after us very well indeed. Everyone commented how much they'd enjoyed the quality of the meals. The golf courses were all ideal for our tour representing good challenging tests in scenic surroundings. We would highly recommend it for other groups.

Same as above
The courses need more sign to direction the different hole for different course, since it has two courses quite close together.
Similar to the Lake's albeit the grounds were very muddy...again very quiet which was a bonus for myself. Thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband said both greens were excellent for this time of year.
10.45 am was just right played a 4 ball. The course wasn't very busy and for beginner like myself was great, albeit for a single finger handicap like my husband he found the course easy. Overall thoroughly enjoyed it.
Good standard of golf needed .
Good course but a little up and down , no variety of holes.
Given the reviews I'd read beforehand I was a little disappointed with the course, somewhat tatty in places but this could have been down to recent weather. Greens had only recently been dressed too which meant we couldn't get the full Lakes experience. Also very slow, 5 hours 30 mins following 2 fourballs on buggys who had no ettiquite. Could have done with some marshalling.
Same comments as lake course ?? Second round on the Monday OK.
Five & a Half hours for both rounds ?? Waiting on most tees ??? This happened twice ??
The condition of the course was similar to the Woodside course for no doubt the same reason. Unfortunately we were behind a group of ladies who we believe were members. Our round took over five hours. Not pleasant.
It was satisfactory although I suspect the tees and fairways were still suffering from the exceptionally dry and hot summer.
More difficult than the Woodside but a good test of golf and in very good condition.
The greens had been hoolw-tined 3 weeks before so were mot ideal, but did not spoil our enjoyment of the course which was good in every other respect.
