Founded in 1927, Belvoir Park Golf Club is a championship test just outside Belfast that's been named The Best Parkland Course in Ulster. With the Irish Open and Irish PGA Championship on its CV, you can expect a course with real pedigree, but you'll still get a friendly welcome when you arrive. It also works brilliantly as part of a Belfast-based golf break, with plenty of great courses within easy reach.
On the course, this is classic parkland golf where placement matters. Tree-lined fairways tighten your targets from the tee, bunkers are positioned to catch the lazy miss and there's enough water in play to keep you honest without turning it into a slog. If you enjoy plotting your way round and hitting the right shots at the right time, you'll like what Belvoir Park asks of you.
The best thing about Belvoir Park is it stays challenging without beating you up. Better players will find a serious test from the back tees, while higher handicappers can keep it fun by choosing the right set of tees and playing within themselves. The greens are typically presented to a high standard and roll well, so a confident approach game is rewarded.
Off the course, the clubhouse has everything you'd want after 18, including good locker rooms, a pro shop for any last-minute essentials and a comfortable bar and dining space for the post-round debrief. You'll find a relaxed clubhouse atmosphere that suits everything from a quick drink to a full post-round meal.
