A lovely little picturesque setting with cows roaming around the course. Electric fencing surrounds all greens to protect them. Everybody from the pro to the bar staff could not have been friendlier. Lots of undulations that should you take a buggy need to be respected, however only a few blind shots are exist.
Brora is a traditional seaside links course, established in 1891. The course as it is now owes much to a visit by five-time Open Champion James Braid, whose golfing fingerprints are all over the Highlands and East Coast, in 1923, when he began his redesign work.
Brora Golf Course has some rather famous fans with the likes of Tom Watson saying "it was a wonderful links course...I'd like to challenge it again" and five-time Open Champion Peter Thomson adding "one of my favourite links is Brora on the Mory Firth...I pray it will continue and last as long as the world."
Testimonials like this make it easy to see why golfers have held Brora, for centuries, amongst one of the finest links courses in the Scottish Highlands and maybe even the world.
