Decent enough course and the greens were very good. Some of the tee boxes could do with some work. Not one for hitting driver of the tee but more plotting your way around.
Despite only opening for play in 1989, Bulbury Woods is mature beyond its years as a result of a dedicated tree planting initiative. These trees form the predominant obstacle to good scoring, lining the fairways and ensuring that wayward striking is punished severely. The length however helps make this course a great balanced layout that all can enjoy, golf and see some of the tests around the 18 holes.
The club is perfectly located on the outskirts of Bournemouth with amazing views of the 'Purbecks' to the west of the city.
Away from the golf course the club has a modern, large clubhouse which is great for larger groups as they have lots of meeting rooms for private hire, a fully licensed bar and a top restaurant.
