Centro Nacional & La Casa del Golf

Centro Nacional de Golf, built in 2006 on land released by the Madrid Government, sits right by Monte del Pardo Park and you're only around 10 minutes from central Madrid. It's a rare find for a city break: a proper 18-hole test that's genuinely easy to get to, with nearby metro stations and bus stops taking the hassle out of travelling with clubs.

On the course, you'll get a solid, straightforward challenge that rewards accuracy more than brute force. Miss the wrong side of the fairway and your approach becomes tougher, with bunkering and well-defended greens asking you to plot your way around rather than just swing away. Add the parkland setting and the skyline views and it feels a world away from the city, even though the bars and restaurants are still close enough for a quick change and a late booking.

For groups, it's a particularly smart choice on a Madrid tour. You can keep travel time down, maximise time on the course and still have the freedom to head into town afterwards for tapas, a few beers and whatever the evening turns into. If you're building a Madrid tour, we can line up tee times and accommodation so the only thing you're organising is who's buying the first round.

Who is this for?
Golfers on a Madrid city break who want an easy-to-reach round, plus groups building a tour around golf and nightlife.

Who is it best for?
Mid-handicappers and mixed-ability groups who enjoy strategic golf, good conditioning and quick access back into central Madrid.

Centro Nacional de Golf

The course at Centro Nacional de Golf is a fantastic layout and provides an excellent challenge for golfers of all abilities. The club is a public course and takes pride in keeping the fairways and greens in immaculate condition. Those who play a round here will be treated to some excellent risk and reward golf as some of the holes play over lakes, ponds and bunkers.

The course requires accuracy both off the tee and in a player’s approach shot to ensure that your ball stays in play, however the short nature of the course means that it is suitable for golfers of all abilities. Arguably the best 3 holes on the course are the closing 3 where landscape creates an incredible natural amphitheatre for guests to play in.

Prior to a player’s round Centro Nacional de Golf boasts a number of high quality practice facilities including a driving range for long game and a putting and pitching area where guests can hone their short game skills before heading out the course. If you wish to have a lesson then the Centro Nacional de Golf also has a handful of coaching professionals that are able to assist you with any swing problems you may have before or after your round.

The pro-shop is also a great place for visiting golfers to stop in on their way out onto the course as it stocks a fantastic range of golfing paraphernalia. On the whole, there aren’t many better places to play for a mixed ability group of golfers on a tour of the Spanish Capital.

Accommodation at Centro Nacional & La Casa del Golf

La Casa del Golf is the on-site stay at Centro Nacional de Golf, with 25 rooms and private terraces overlooking the course and Madrid's skyline. If you like the idea of rolling out of bed and being at the first tee in minutes, it's a very easy base for a short golf-heavy break.

Each room is finished to a high standard, with modern amenities and enough space to store golf equipment without feeling cramped. The private terraces are a genuine asset, particularly in the warmer months when you can sit outside with a drink and watch the final groups finish their rounds. The views across the course and towards the city give the property a sense of space that's rare for accommodation this close to a capital centre.

The Caná Golf Restaurant serves guests throughout the day, offering a menu that leans on Spanish culinary tradition with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. It's the kind of dining experience that works equally well for a relaxed breakfast before an early tee time or a more leisurely dinner after 18 holes. The restaurant's position within the golf club means you're never far from the first tee, and the atmosphere is informal enough to suit groups in golf attire.

Parking is available on-site, and if you're flying in, ask us about transfer options so you're not wrestling with taxis and travel bags. The setup is practical: you can walk from your room to the first tee in minutes, store clubs securely and avoid the logistics of driving or taking public transport to the course each morning.

La Casa del Golf suits golfers who want to stay where they play, particularly those on short breaks or city tours where time is limited and convenience matters. The combination of quality accommodation, on-site dining and direct course access makes it a sensible base for anyone prioritising golf over sightseeing, or for groups who want to balance both without the friction of moving between hotels and courses across the city. If you're building a Madrid tour, we can line up tee times and accommodation so the only thing you're organising is who's buying the first round.

The practice facilities were really busy and we couldn’t get on them.

Didn’t enjoy this one so much. Condition was a bit scruffy, lots of bare patches in the rough and greens as bit slow. I think it’s a public course so as it was Saturday morning it was very busy. OK fir holiday golf.

Our least favourite course. Open and forgiving. Tee boxes terrible, greens average. Front nine all a bit the same. Back 9 much more interesting.
