Cheval Abbey Strand Apartments
Abbey Strand sits at the foot of the Royal Mile, directly opposite the Palace of Holyroodhouse and within sight of Arthur's Seat. It's the smallest of the three Cheval properties in Edinburgh, with just nine serviced apartments, all finished to a high standard with open-plan layouts and contemporary design.
The location is quieter than St Andrew Square or the main stretch of the Royal Mile, but you're still only a short walk from the city centre and all its amenities. The deluxe one-bedroom apartments offer views of Arthur's Seat and the surrounding parkland. It's a more peaceful setting while still being central enough to reach restaurants, shops and transport links on foot.
Abbey Strand works well if you want a base that feels slightly removed from the busiest tourist areas but still keeps you close to everything. The apartments are spacious, well equipped and ideal for couples or small groups who value a bit more calm at the end of the day.
Why golfers like it
Quieter than the other two, views of Arthur's Seat, and you're right next to Holyrood Park if anyone fancies a walk to clear the head after a long day on the links.
After-golf
You're a five-minute walk from the main Royal Mile pubs and restaurants, but the immediate area around the Palace is more residential and relaxed.
