The 27 holes at Chiang Mai Highlands are split into an 18 hole course with an additional nine holes, measuring over 9600 yards in total, although there are five tee boxes to accommodate for golfers of all abilities. Its tranquil setting is met with absolutely mesmerising surroundings with mountainous views at every hole, making for a pretty dramatic round of golf. The course is lined by paspalum fairways and tiff eagle greens, making for immaculate playing conditions all year round and demanding clever play around the greens, which are extremely fast at approximately 10 on the stimp-meter. In total there are 130 green side or fairway bunkers which can be extremely punishing to wayward shots with deep lies and high lips. Thanks to the condition of the course and the shorter grass leading up to the green, golfers will benefit from some chasing approach shots which can lead to the green. However, the signature hole on this course is the 18th and requires a completely different approach; the closing hole is downhill par 5 which is definitely reachable in two for the longer hitters, however there is a river cutting across the fairway just in front of the green so if you go for it, make sure you take enough club.

The clubhouse has the essential necessities you would expect including an extensive 200 unit locker room and a fully equipped pro shop but also other amenities which set it apart. Golfers can choose to embark on more physical activity in the state-of-the-art fitness room or on the 300 yard driving range with two short game areas and practice greens. Instead, some might choose to unwind in the serene spa which has a range of treatments, massages and facilities. Views of the golf course can be enjoyed from the outside restaurant which serves a range of Thai dishes to complete a truly incredible golfing experience.
