Gassan Legacy Golf Club is the largest golfing complex in Northern Thailand. Since being completely refurbished by Schmidt-Curley Design in 2013 and reopened the year after, the golf club now boasts one of Thailand's best golf courses in an ideal location for visiting golfers.
The complex is located in Lamphun, just 30 mins to Chiang Mai city centre and the local airport, while also offering luxury accommodation and impressive facilities.
This magnificent course measures at 6,852 yards and while not the longest, has hugely benefited from the 2013 renovation which introduced new turf, improved irrigation and adding to what was already a challenging course with several new hazards. The rolling fairways are now met with even more sand and water which will test golfers before they reach the fast greens. There are some very reachable par-4 holes on the course an element of risk-reward golf which is present on famous hole such as the 10th on the Brabazon Course at The Belfry. In total there are five par-5s, all of which present a strong birdie opportunity to the longer hitters. The shortest hole on the course is just 90 yards but the other four par-3 holes vary up to 180 yards, meaning you will be using many of the clubs in your bag and testing every facet of your game.
While the clubhouse is small in stature, it still welcomes golfers with a beautiful space for drinks and snacks overlooking the golf course. The main facility at Gassan Legacy Golf Club, aside from the golf club, is the hotel accommodation which includes over 70 guest rooms. Whether you stay in one of the 66 Superior Rooms, six Deluxe Rooms or one of the three exclusive Suite Rooms, you will enjoy a spacious stay with many essential amenities including an en-suite shower suite and basic kitchen and bathroom amenities.
