Crowne Plaza Harrogate is a proper town-centre base, right next door to Harrogate Convention Centre and about a six-minute walk from the train station. Step outside and you're into Harrogate's bars, restaurants and shops, so you can do golf in the day and keep the evening lively without worrying about driving. It's the kind of setup that works brilliantly for groups who want quality golf within striking distance and a bit of life after the final putt drops.
The real draw here is the golf within half an hour's drive. Aldwoodley and Moortown both sit comfortably inside England's top 50, and if you're building a long weekend around serious inland golf, these two should be at the top of your list. Beyond those, the wider Yorkshire region offers everything from moorland layouts to parkland gems, so you can easily put together a three or four-round itinerary without repeating a style of course. It's one of those parts of the country where you can tick off bucket-list venues and still have time to enjoy the town afterwards.
Back at the hotel, you've got everything sorted without fuss. There's parking for 150 cars, including two electric charging points, and Springs Bar serves food and drinks from 10am through to late evening. If you prefer a sit-down meal, Springs Restaurant offers a more formal dining option. The fitness centre is well equipped if you want to loosen up before or after a round, and the rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and designed with comfort in mind. It's a straightforward, central base that lets you focus on the golf and the evening, with none of the logistics getting in the way.

The hotel has 214 air-conditioned rooms, all designed to offer a comfortable retreat after a day on the course. Rooms are laid out with modern amenities, plenty of space to store your kit and a setup that works whether you're here solo, as a couple or as part of a larger group. The style is contemporary without being overly formal, and everything you need, from Wi-Fi to climate control, is included as standard. It's the kind of room where you can unwind properly, sort your gear for the next day and get a decent night's sleep before an early tee time.
Facilities extend beyond the room. The fitness centre is well equipped and open to all guests, offering a solid range of equipment if you want to stretch out tight shoulders or work on your core between rounds. There's also ample meeting and event space, which makes the hotel a popular choice for golf societies looking to combine their trip with a presentation dinner or captain's evening. The staff are used to handling golfers' schedules, whether that's an early breakfast before a 7am start or a late check-in after a long day on the course.
Dining is handled across two venues. Springs Bar is the more relaxed option, open from 10am and serving food and drinks throughout the day and into the evening. It's the kind of space where you can grab a quick breakfast before an early tee time, a casual lunch on your return or a pint and a burger while recounting the day's highlights. Springs Restaurant offers a more formal setting if you want to keep things easy on site, with a menu that covers the bases and a layout that works well for groups. Both venues cater well to societies, and the kitchen is used to handling golfers' timings, whether that's an early start or a late finish.
Parking is generous, with space for 150 cars and two electric vehicle charging points, a practical touch if you're driving up from further south or planning a multi-venue tour across Yorkshire. The location also means you can leave the car behind in the evening and walk into town for dinner, drinks or a wander around Harrogate's shops and cafés. It's a setup that works particularly well for groups who want the flexibility to split up after golf, some heading out, others staying in, without needing to coordinate transport or worry about designated drivers.

Only one night stay but the accommodation was clean and comfortable. Easy access into the Town centre, good parking underneath the hotel £12.00 for 24hrs. Breakfast was good value and staff were pleasant. Bar was open till late so we could have a night cap. Would go again.
