The Flemish Ardennes provide the perfect canvas for parkland golf and with the River Scheldt winding its way through the courses through ancient woodland, Golf de Oudenaarde is a supremely tranquil place to enjoy a round of golf.

Kasteel Course

The par 71 Kasteel Course starts off alongside the castle’s moat and finishes on a delightful par 5 called Victory Lane, with countless captivating holes in between providing plenty of challenge for golfers of varying abilities. Tree lined fairways call for precision from the tee while strategically placed bunkers and natural water hazards mean course management and accurate approaches are of paramount importance as well. A total yardage of 6,440 yards from the tips will test the longer hitters while those who are looking for a slightly less demanding test will find their comfort zone from the forward tees which can reduce the length of the course right down to 5,366 yards.

Anker Course

The Anker Course plays to a par of 72 and stretches a little longer than its sibling, the Kasteel Course, with a total yardage of 6,825 yards from the back tees. Starting at a welcoming par 5 called Chalet Baziel, the Anker Course provides a stern test with the River Scheldt coming into play at various points of the round. Seven newer holes that were opened for play in 2007 heightened the course’s reputation as one of the best in the region and the picturesque 18th, a par 3 that plays over the castle’s moat, provides the perfect explanation point to this excellent layout.
