Having played golf for 30 years, I have always wanted to be apart of this great sport more directly. With working for Your Golf Travel I managed just that, previously working on the ground at a golf resort for a number of years it offers me a great insight into, not only providing the right advice for which venue is going to be a great experience, but also how the team will work when you arrive to make it unforgettable.
Longevity doesn't always breed success and I still play off 20 but love the sport, the walk as well as seeing new venues and I have been lucky enough to play some amazing courses.
My expertise is in UK resort travel so North, South, East or West I have probably played there.... badly!

I have played in 11 different countries with some outstanding experiences. Playing The Old Course in Villamoura then meeting Jose Olazabel and Juan Miguel Jimenez was a personal highlight. Although I have to say that experiencing Ill Aux Cerfs in Mauritius was unforgettable.
You dont have to travel that far though, Ramside Hall in the North East, Hanbury Manor in the South and the Twenty Ten at Celtic Manor in South Wales are some of the best golf experiences you can get on home soil.
Portugal
Described as a golfer's paradise, the good weather & fantastic golf courses are matched by the lively atmosphere. After your round relax by the pool or wander down to the marina for great food & drinks. The high street is also a popular spot with its many Irish bars all having a great vibe.
Mauritius
A once in a lifetime trip. I was lucky enough to stay in three of the best hotels on the island. The golf at La Chateux and La Reserva was incredible but the boat trip to the course on the volcanic island was the best experience.
England
This luxury Hertfordshire hotel offers a Jack Nicklaus II-designed 18-hole championship course. Set on 200 acres this challenging course has hosted several professional tournaments and includes a country club with a spa.
Wales
An unbelievable course and clubhouse which made for the best golfing experience I have had in the UK. The locker rooms still have the names from that epic European victory and a photographer is ready to capture your round on the 1st.
Turkey
Who doesnt want to play at night! Seeing the ball trace high a far under lights has to be something for all to experience and one im hoping to acheive this year or next.
USA
From watching on TV when I was younger, to playing Tiger Woods golf on the playstation, to experience this track has to be on so many bucket lists and I am no different. I will just have to be sure to pack enough balls!
South Africa
The idea of matching golf with safari is just a thing that really appeals, the ease of travel there and great exchange rate also help of course.
Bulgaria
It offers something different & with more flights available now to Varna throughout the Summer season, getting there has become a lot easier. Thracian gets most of the headlines but I'd be sure to include BlackSeaRama & Lighthouse when I visit.
