I started playing golf pretty late, I was a junior at Felixstowe Ferry on the Suffolk coast so I got used to playing in the wind very early. I currently play my golf at Langley Park in Kent off of a handicap of 0.0 but that is only going in one direction sadly!
Having been at YGT for a number of years my favourite thing in golf is getting away to play, nothing beats golfing in the sunshine whilst abroad.
What's in my bag?
TaylorMade Qi10 Driver, 3 wood & 5 wood
TaylorMade P770 & P7CB Irons
Taylormade MG4 Wedges
LAB Oz1 Putter
I have been very lucky to have been to many great golf destinations such as the Algarve, Costa Del Sol, South Carolina & Florida but the ones closer to home are equally as great.
Ireland and Scotland are right on the doorstep and have produced some of my best trips! A new favourite for me is Terras de Comporta just south of Lisbon - this place is incredible! Still in it's infancy the region is growing and will become a powerhouse in European Golf.
UK
Hard to really narrow it down to one region as it's all amazing. From Turnberry to North Berwick and of course the famous Old Course in St Andrews.
UK
Royal Portrush blew me away! What an incredible venue but one not to miss is Portstewart which might have the best front 9 in the UK & Ireland!
USA
I couldn't narrow this one down just like Scotland. Kiawah Island, Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach all treated me very well when it came to playing golf and I would recommend anyone to get over and do a bit of a road trip with those 3 as your stopping points.
Europe
Having spent a lot of tme in Portugal for it ticks all the boxes for golf and family holidays.
USA
A golf resort on the Oregon coastline that will leave you wanting more and more. Some of the best designers in the world have worked on property for an unbelievable golfing experience.
USA
The anchor site for the US Open, 10 x 18 hole courses and soon to be 11, 1 par 3 course and a putting course! Why wouldn't you want to go there.
Scotland
This would be the final course in the current Open rota for me to play and from what I hear I've saved the best until last!
