3 Nights, 2 Rounds
Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is a smart base for a Murcia golf break, especially if your group wants plenty of quality courses close by without spending half the holiday in a hire car. The on-site Jack Nicklaus-designed course is a proper test, built for golfers who enjoy plotting their way round rather than simply bashing driver everywhere.
Out on the course you'll find generous landing areas from the tee, then a tougher second-shot challenge into well-guarded greens. Miss in the wrong spot and you'll be chipping from tight run-offs or negotiating strategically placed bunkers, so it's a great track for anyone who likes shaping shots and picking targets. Water features on several holes and becomes a factor when the breeze gets up, so it pays to keep the ball down and take an extra moment over club selection.
The real win is how easy it is to bolt on other Murcia courses. You've got a stack of strong layouts within a short drive, including La Manga, Mar Menor and El Valle, so if you're here for a long weekend or a full week you can build a varied itinerary without spending hours in transit.
Off the course, the resort is set up for an easy, self-contained stay with on-site essentials including places to eat and drink plus a supermarket for stocking the apartment. It's an ideal pick for the designated organiser, you can keep the itinerary tight and the logistics simple. In short, it's a straightforward, good-value choice for groups who want sunshine golf, a strong home course and plenty of options nearby.

Greens were very long so putting was very difficult to get the ball to the hole. Again no half way house of buggy coming round with drinks. Not the same quality as la Manga.

Tough course to play on, very hilly, not enough availability of golf buggies. We should have pre-booked our buggies.

Better experience Again no email ahead for buggies for us Taxi timings very off, had 5 minutes before tee because of timings booked from YGT. Great course.

Beautiful course with some memorable holes. Again recommend buggies. The rough is full of bushes where finding the balls is very difficult but otherwise it’s a fair course and fun to go round

Stunning course, very long with bunkers everywhere. Personally if your high handicap don’t play this course as too hard?

Great visual course and all in good nick but way to many bunkers per hole & pins were last day at the masters type 😆 some bunkers not in best condition but unsurprising given so many of them
