La Reserve Golf Links serves up panoramic ocean views from every hole, the co-designers of Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen & Peter Matkovich have created a layout that has already been listed to host the DP World Tour Mauritius Open.
Oosthuizen has been quoted as saying "What strikes you when you arrive at La Reserve Golf Links is the site itself, it’s truly spectacular. It’s dramatic, it’s different, and quite unique."
La Reserve Golf Links plays hand-in-hand with nature, the fields that were once used for sugar cane production have been sensitively planted with native grasses to create rich rolling grasslands, encouraging ecological diversity.

Played the course a number of times. Heavy rain caused the course to be closed several times during our stay. Because golf is free to hotel guests it does get busy. We di
Challenging but enjoyable. Greens in excellent condition amongst the best I’ve played on. Pace of play was good. Service good.
Challenging course but in great condition. Will definitely play it again
overall very enjoyable but would have liked the opportunity to maybe have the premier all inclusive package at the hotel which included one buggy per room per round
The staff at the clubhouse are lovely and the food and facilities great . Played 9 times and we had fast and slow rounds but each was enjoyable . The course has varied holes and with 5 tee boxes everyone can be challenged . The wild life is interesting with monkeys , meerkats , lizards and beautiful tropical birds .
We couldn't use the course as it was closed due to flooding 4 times .
Lovely course, but dreadful weather conditions had a severe impact on the course for several days. However, the ground staff worked tirelessly to repair the damage so that we could continue playing. Really enjoyed our golf there. Interesting holes with plenty of variety. Can’t wait to play there again!
The weather was wet and humid we only managed 9 holes as weather deteriorated and were called in we tried again the day after for 9 it was so slow we waited 9 -10 mins on each hole the people in front should not have been allowed on they could not have an active handy cap we were soaked in the changing rooms their were no towels shampoo/etc we tried tried next day Again only 9 nine open and rained off again
The course was a decent challenge for all levels. The facilities are very good and a hard working caddy master and staff make this a high quality golfing experience.
Top class golf club and course. Excellent, attentive staff. Choice and quality of food and during first class
Quality from the moment you set foot on the premises. You're welcomed by the Caddy Master and by the time you've completed registration in the pro shop and got your shoes on, your bag is on a cart and ready to go. The driving range is under reconstruction, so currently with reduced facility, the chipping green is first class with scope to practice a range of shot types and the practice green is large and unusually true to the pace of the actual greens. The course itself presents plenty of challenges, asking for a range of shots. While I was there an unusually stiff wind made some of the holes a doddle to get near the green on par 5s in two while on some par 4s you're belting driver and squeezing everything out of a long hybrid just to get to the green in regulation. The strong winds may have skewed my opinion about the difficulty factor - your milage may vary. Some tight fairways with lots of risk/reward holes for when you're feeling good out there and want to go for it. Quality greens rolled true and subtle enough to make for some fun trying to read the breaks. Ultimately, it's the kind of course you won't get bored with and keeps you wanting to come back. Once you come off the course, you're greeting by a cooling towel to wipe down with and the Caddy Master can store your clubs for you on-course so no need to carry them back to the hotel. The nexy morning, your towel and clubs will be clean and ready to go. The patio bar and restaurant are excellent. Top drawer stuff all around.
Great golf course with some very interesting and challenging holes. My son and I are both keen golfers (8 and 12 handicaps) and we both rated the golf course highly. Holes are all independent from each other. The whole golf course is very manicured with squadrons of local workers constantly weeding and brushing up stuff which made us feel slightly uncomfortable at times. Otherwise really good and it stood up to torrential rain quite well although on three days due to the heavy rain we were not able to take a buggy and had to walk. This was fine for us but would be a challenge if your fitness isn't great. The golf clubhouse is great with a good restaurant overlooking the 18th.
A magnificent golf course with really nice views, fairway always seem give good lie. Greens had been hollow tyned just before we arrived but improved as the week progressed. We did get caught out with warm rain of biblical proportions so take your UK umbrellas with you. As 22 and 32 Hcp golfers we found this course interesting and encouraging by playing from the blue and red tees respectively. There are several other tees to play from which increase the challenge for lower handicappers.
Great course, beautiful to play on and perfect condition. Will definitely go back to play there again, I didn’t lose many balls the 5 times I played there but some people I played with did and wished they had taken more balls with them. Cannot find anything bad to say about the course, also the buggy’s had a swish gps style ipad built in so you can see how far everything is. Very cool
I think the course is going to be tougher is you are Hcap 20 and above - its not long so I played off the whites and managed well ( off 17). One of the best courses I have ever played and maintained very well throughout.
The caddiemaster and his staff were polite helpful and looked after us and our clubs throughout our stay. the staff ensured we went out with dry towels and plenty of water and the cold towels at the end of the round were most appreciated. Heavy rain on the day we arrived prevented us playing 2 holes on our first round of golf and a cyclone of our 3rd round of golf prevented us from playing although we did manage to play 9 holes with a buggy on our last day. The back nine holes were trolleys only due to wet conditions. We played a fourball on the first day and had completed in under 4 hours which for a resort course we think is extremely good. Our second 4ball was slower but an acceptable pace. Our last 9 holes our playing partners did not turn up so we had a 2ball which did mean were were waiting playing behind a 4ball. We did notice that a number of people although with booked tee times and buggies ready for their use did not turn up, and we did play of earlier on two occasions. Perhaps now people are paying as they play and not in advance they may just decide to not turn up and they had not informed the club? The bar and food at the golf club were of a high standard. We would also like to mention Emotions the transport service from airport to Hotel, they were on time helpful, informative and attentive. Our thanks to Your Golf Travel once again. Ray and Ken Davies
2,500 Rupies for the rent of one buggy is very questionable.
The course was a good challenge and very interesting. Each hole was different which meant that we did not get bored with the course itself. Unfortunately, the pull trolleys were very difficult to manoeuvre through the Bermuda grass and the fairly steep hills, plus they are approx £10 each to hire! There are no electric trolleys and despite the fact we prefer to walk, we had to hire a buggy for 5 of our 7 rounds. The organisation at the golf club was very poor. On our final round we turned up in plenty of time for our 9:44am tee off, only to be told we were due to play at 8:48am. They rescheduled the tee times because of a competition, but failed to contact us to let us know, although they knew our room number. We were not the only players to experience this communication mess up. We did get out to play but it was our slowest round as there were so many players having to be slotted in due to the inefficient organisation. Also, because of this competition, which was not advertised at anytime during the week, the restaurant was reserved for the competitors so we could not have lunch, just a quick drink at the bar. It was such a shame to end our holiday on this bad experience, we had enjoyed the course and sitting out on the terrace having lunch with playing partners.
This is one of the best courses I’ve played. It is in beautiful condition. There is a choice of tees according to handicap .There are no particularly easy holes each needing careful placement of your tee shots . The greens have subtle borrows and pin placement can make approach tricky. The only issue with the course is that the green fees are included in the hotel cost , whilst this makes for good value this tempts a lot of players who are not golfers to try their hand this can make for slow rounds. I understand that this is being addressed in the near future when a separate green fee is to be introduced in the meantime serious golfers can avoid this with early tee times avoiding the crowds.
