The room was large, clean and bathroom modern, but the toilet kept running after flushing. My group of 12 golfers found the “village app” easy to use, but disappointing that the in-house Starbucks wouldn’t accept it for purchases. The gym was well equipped and swimming pool ideal, but both meals were delivered over an our late in the “pub and grill”, both nights and it was really noisy. Also the main screen TV kept switching to hotel village adverts in the middle of a football game on night and darts game another night (very annoying). The staff were lovely and very helpful, but on many occasions they had to step in to help guests use the checkout/ check-in terminals. Breakfast was excellent in the Helter Skelter restaurant.
One of the top stay and play options in the northwest, Village Hotel Herons' Reach provides great accommodation and outstanding golf. Herons' Reach is a delightful parkland layout, designed by the renowned partnership of Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. The main challenge is to safely negotiate the seemingly endless series of water hazards, which come into play on twelve holes.
Located on the outskirts of Blackpool, the Village Hotel is the ultimate place to stay for golfers who are looking to enjoy the bright lights of the Promenade, which can be reached in just 10 minutes. The hotel itself is a delightful place to stay, with a range of facilities such as a gym, all day dining Pub & Grill. The hotel is also just a short walk from Blackpool Zoo and Model Village & Gardens.
