3 Nights, 2 Rounds
- 3 Nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at Hotel Elba Sara 4*
- 2 Rounds at Fuerteventura Golf Club
3 Nights, 2 Rounds
Hotel Elba Sara is an All Inclusive four-star base on Fuerteventura's eastern coast, set right on the beachfront and, crucially for golfers, next door to the island's original championship course. If you want a week of winter sun where golf is easy to organise and you're not spending half your day on transfers, this place ticks plenty of boxes.
The headline benefit is location. You're immediately adjacent to Fuerteventura Golf Club, so early tee times are genuinely painless, and it's simple to build a multi-round trip without the usual logistics. When you're done, it's straight back to the pool, the beach or the bar.
It's not an isolated resort either. There are shops, restaurants and even a cinema close by, which is handy for groups who like a bit of flexibility in the evenings. On-site, you've got two outdoor pools, a fitness area with jacuzzi and sauna, plus a tennis court. Families are catered for with a kids' club, and the hotel can help organise island excursions if you fancy a non-golf day exploring Fuerteventura's beaches and volcanic scenery.
Who is this for?
Golfers who want an easy, beachfront base next to the course with minimal fuss.
Who is it best for?
Couples and groups chasing reliable winter sun, quick access to tee times and enough facilities to keep non-golfers happy.

All 266 rooms come with a private balcony or terrace, many looking out towards the Atlantic. Inside, it's a practical, comfortable set-up for golf trips: air conditioning, satellite TV, a direct-dial telephone and a spacious bathroom as standard. It's not trying to be flashy, but it works well if your priority is a reliable base between rounds.
Facilities-wise, the two outdoor pools are the heart of the hotel. Depending on the time of day and who's staying, one can feel more family-focused while the other is often a quieter option. The fitness suite, jacuzzi and sauna are a nice bonus after 18 holes, particularly if the wind's been up and you've walked the course. There's also a tennis court for a change of pace, plus a kids' club if you're travelling as a family group.
Food-wise, you've got three easy options on site. The Albatros Restaurant covers buffet-style meals with sea views from the terrace, which is ideal for groups with different tastes or tee times. The Tucan Grill is a more relaxed poolside choice with Spanish and international dishes. If you want something simpler and more focused, La Nonna serves Italian classics such as fresh pasta and pizzas.
The beachfront location means you're never far from the sand, and the immediate access to shops, cinemas and restaurants in the surrounding area gives you flexibility if you want to venture out in the evenings. The hotel works well as a base for golfers who want to play Fuerteventura Golf Club multiple times, enjoy the beach and the climate, and have enough on-site facilities to keep the trip varied without needing to plan every hour.

Staff were lovely. Room was great. Food was cold and undercooked. Vegetables were like they were out of the fridge, there was nothing keeping them warm such as heat lamps etc. Fried eggs were precooked and left out to help yourself, on a cold shelf, they were also uncooked and "snotty".

Nice enough hotel, beds are reserved so you need to be early if you want one. Food was ok but have had better elsewhere.

This was our 3rd visit to the Elba Sara & it doesn’t disappoint. The recently refurbished rooms are very comfortable. The shower is 5 star. You can even watch BBC1,BBC2,ITV & C4 on the TV if the evening entertainment isn’t your thing. The food is plentiful and tasty though the restaurant can get busy during school holidays. The shuttle bus to the golf course is a great asset.

The hotel is predominantly an all inclusive drinking den, the regular travellers on their winer beano are resentful of the golfers, of which there are many of various nationalities. The cosmopolitan element is excellent, made many acquaintances. The hotel is dated, but anecdotally always full, so not sure how they could update things. Staff are the best, as they are everywhere that I went on the island. Rooms terribly dated, uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Transfers for golf are okay, when they turn up, but a taxi is only €3 plus tips so not really a problem. Would I go back? Yes for the golf, but not to this hotel.
