Bordered by lovely palm trees, the course offers amazing panoramic views of the Atlantic, and is equally as beautiful as it is challenging. Formulated around three large lakes, the intriguing course measures a modest 6,068 yards, but its par of 70 is a formidable target.
Within a few minutes of the coastline, the Fuertaventura golf club is perfect for some relaxing holiday golf during your next visit to the lovely Canary Island. Within a few minutes of the golf course are excellent hotels including the 5* Hotel Elba Palace Golf and the Sheraton Fuerteventura Resort.
My main problem about the golf was I was in the low season. I managed to move my tee times around to try and find other people to play with but was only partially successful. I played one round where I seemed to be the only person on the course.
We played this course 7 times in the 2 weeks we were there and each time it was really quiet, we didn't have to pair up with anyone which was a bonus. The course was a bit patchy in places but the greens were good. Overall we really enjoyed it and will be back again.
A little scruffy in places, bunker sand very average, greens rolled well, some challenging holes
Best value around
Course was fine, not too long. Bunkers were however very tricky. Hard packed builders sand. I resorted to chipping off them,as proper bunker shot very difficult. .
Arranged times and playing partners were fine. Good condition in all aspects.
We enjoyed the golf in spite of the narrowness of the second hole which has a road as its boundary on the right hand side and a deep drainage ditch on the left hand side. The width of the fairway was very narrow and it was not until the sixth round that I finished the hole with the same ball as starting it!! This says a lot about my golf but I cannot suggest that I enjoyed that hole. Some of the tees were rough, needing care and attention. The fairways were good, as were the greens. We enjoyed our light lunches on the Hotel terrace after playing.
A very good test of golf for all handicap grades. Each of the holes has something of interest with some very good views of the surrounding countryside. The difficulty each golfer faces can be ascertained in the slope ratings for each tee.
The course got better
I enjoyed playing the course it was well cared for and challenging, the wind made it tricky. Although we were given pull trolleys they were not easily used on the last two holes. It's a great shame they only had limited buggies. Unusual for a hot country lucky for us we went in January.
The course was lovely, some of the tee boxes were a bit rough, but that was more than made up for by the fantastic greens - play was a little slow on the 2nd round, but apart from that, thoroughly enjoyed it
REALLY ENJOYED PLAYING THE COURSE. BUNKERS COULD DO WITH SOME ATTENTION. OTHERWISE EVERYONE HELPFUL AND THE COURSE PLAYS WELL. A GOOD VARIETY OF HOLES
The course is very challenging in parts for average golfers however it is still enjoyable.
Tees 6 and 18 are temporary and not suited to the design of the hole. Fairways not tight enough for my liking. Some tees were well worn. It is what it is and the weather was wonderful! The starters are great and did their best to keep everything moving. On a different subject, we were very disappointed with the driver who picked us up at the airport. He did not meet us on arrival and we had to spend some time asking around. He was surly and reluctant. Return fransfer was prompt and excellent.
Good course good pro shop only let down was couldn’t get food until after noon
A wonderful golfing week. Although the weather was a bit mixed with the odd shower one day, and some typical Canary Island breezes, the temperatures were in the low to mid twenties and perfect for golf. I loved the course - mostly pretty flat apart from the last 2 holes. Personally I also enjoyed the experience of meeting new people as my husband and I were put out with an assortment of other golfing pairs to fill up the tee slots. I would be happy to play this course again anytime!
The 17 th was uphill and hard! Rest of course manageable walking with trolley. Course quite quiet much quieter than February
Course well prepared. Some groups held up play by not calling those behind through but the weather helped the delays.
We were unable to play 18 holes due to maintenance but we did not see anybody working on course. We played the back 9 twice but we had been advised that this was the case
