The 27 holes have been configured into two Championship Golf Courses – The Lakes and The Palms. The longest is The Lakes, measuring over 7,400 yards, and The Palms measures slightly less, at 7,300 yards.
Bunkering, as you would have thought given the desert location, is really top-class and, even though the designers might have been tempted to fill them with white sand, they’ve compassionately made the hazards with local, pink-brown coloured sand which blends in perfectly with the surroundings.
The stunning par-3 8th hole, with a water-fronted green measuring 210 yards from the back tees, is considered the signature hole on both the “Lakes” and “Palms” 18-hole layouts at Katameya Dunes, as both courses share the same opening 9 holes.
