What a great course, played as a couple and we loved it. Goody bag included. Nice merch bag, balls pitch repairer and sun lotion. Water and ice were pre loaded on the buggy. Although ‘ New’ refers to 2005 everything was absolutely immaculate. Service at the bag drop and pro shop couldn’t have been better. The restaurant was amazing with fabulous views. To say there were changes of elevation doesn’t describe the course. A real fun course. Probably only use driver on 3 holes. We are both 25 handicappers and had an absolute hoot. We will definitely be back. It may seem expensive for a course you never heard of, ( it’s been strictly private until now) but laughs per £ it’s great value. Could be marmite? If you like smashing driver 270, don’t come her!
La Zagaleta is home to two stunning golf courses with the Old Course (a members only layout) and the New Course.
Opening in 2005 the Zagaleta New is a beautiful course designed by Steve Marnoch, which is cleverly camouflaged into the countryside it is blended into. The Par 70 layout is built into the mountain side, offering a variety of different obstacles including doglegs to challenge you and lakes to take on or lay up to.
