Langland Bay Golf Club

Though not long, Langland Bay can be very challenging, particularly when the prevailing wind picks up. With a standard scratch of 69, the course is tricky, but the excellent views are enough to redeem any ugly scorecards.

The signature hole is the long par-4 sixth, which was designed by the legendary James Braid - a certain highlight of any golf tour around the Mumbles Mile and Swansea.

They advertise it as the pebble beach of Wales and the vistas merit the comparison. I could see there would be a lot of walking up and down steep hills, so I called them the day before to book a buggy. Sadly all had been booked. It is a challenging walk but a lovely course. Definitely a lot shorter than the other 2 but we were made very welcome. Driving in and out of the club is a bit of a white knuckle ride. I would have preferred to play this on our 2nd day, as this was 25 minutes west of Swansea. P&K 25 minutes east of Swansea would have saved us nearly an hour when returning home

Very quirky but very enjoyable, one of the most picturesque courses we've played. Very friendly club. Not the hardest course but we did play on a perfect day for weather.
