0800 043 6644The original 18 holes were designed by the late Folco Nardi, who created a technical examination that is adaptable enough to present an appropriate challenge for everyone. The outstanding quality of the course has seen it established as a regular host for prestigious regional and national tournaments, and locals will tell you that prudent strategy and sound course management are far more valuable than brute power.
Lauro has recently added another nine-hole loop, which allows visitors to benefit from the great variety that the different combinations provide. The latest addition is relatively flat, but affords terrific views of the Guadalhorce Valley and the magnificent Mediterranean coastline.
The stunning clubhouse is located in a sympathetically converted traditional Andalucian building, ensuring that visitors benefit from a truly genuine experience during a visit to this charming corner of the Costa Del Sol.
Course and facilities all good. staff very friendly. Very playable for a wide range of handicaps as well. Bunkers not great but that would be the only minor critisism...
Would not recommend this course at all, very basic and boring every hole pretty much the same up and down all the way. Greens were a bit patchy and sandy. We played holes 10-27 and it was all of ours first time playing so trial and error as they say.
This course was not the best but not the worst, slow round of golf 5 hours 30 mins.
A nice course, front 9 average, back 9 much nicer. Some good challenges and in great condition. Don't hire a buggy as you can't go on the grass in them....which defeats the object and makes the round longer.
Buggies need to be checked, our groups buggies 2 broke down on the course and 2 had to be changed because of the steering
Very nice course having the three nines to play with. We had the first two nines and they were as challenging as ever. Very slow round, almost 5 hours.
Was a nice course to play with a buggy. Some very nice holes, good views and a lovely club house with lovely food.
The course was very wet in areas and the you can not take your buggies onto the grass, so lots of walking as the paths are only on one side.
Best of the courses we played, except from grumpy arrogant members.
Shocking course greens and fairways soaking won't be recommend to anyone
Wasn't expecting to need wellies during a heatwave in Spain. Greens had bare patches, sodden around the greens. Needed to lift clean and place and take relief from standing water. Played holes 10-27 so not sure if 19-27 were just overspill as we saw members using 1-9. No better than the local municipal in February in terms of condition. Took ages for food to come out as they forgot to put the food on. Some had to take food with them as coach was waiting.
The least manicured or interesting of the five courses we played. Some fantastic views which the course didn’t quite live up to. You have to keep to the buggy paths which made things inconvenient. We would have though entering the course at 90 degrees would have been permissible. There is a bar called La Arrista on the complex which serves good beer at sensible prices so go there instead of the club bar.
Great course
Played holes 1-9 and 19-27. Having played before we preferred the holes 10-18 rather than 19-27, but enjoyed it anyway
greens were poor
Some demanding holes greens were great scenery fabulous
I played well 31 points of 15 so not a bad start
The whole group thoroughly enjoyed their round at Lauro
Again difficult for high handicap
Quite a boring course with just straight up and straight back holes. Made up with 3 x 9 hole courses I'm sure some will love it but too many driver and wedge for the second shot holes.
Great course everything about this course was top class. Staff in particular were just brillant. We were gifted an extra 9 holes so we played the 27 holes. One of thd best courses we have played on.
Great
Course was in good condition but very wet in places, therefore all buggies had be kept to the paths which made it a bit tedious and slowed things down. Greens were good but inconsistent on the day. The Clubhouse had a large seating area outside for drinks before & after golf. Staff were friendly & the food was good.
A little disappointing from other courses in the area, busy and close together fairways. Holes 18 - 27 are repetitive up and down with very little variation.
Front nine holes completely different to the back nine
Good and fair test of golf, course was in great condition apart from some blemishes on green
5hrs for a round of golf is ridiculous also have to keep buggies on the paths can't take them onto the fairways!!!
very good
