Accommodation at Macdonald Dona Lola Club

Macdonald Doña Lola Resort occupies a fantastic beachfront location, just a short stroll from Calahonda with its shops, tapas bars, restaurants and nightlife. A large resort built around a 270ft curved swimming pool, it also offers sub-tropical gardens, characterised by swaying palms and tumbling waterfalls - all gently sloping towards the Mediterranean.

The resort has magnificent leisure facilities including tennis courts, a heated indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna, whirlpool and Turkish bath. The health and relaxation centre offers a top quality service, including waxing, facials, hydromassage and many other treatments.

Breakfast was a little late to open if you had early Tee times booked but other than that it was a great location.

Lovely hotel, location etc. No ramp down to reception. Difficult for less able, older folks to check in. We were not told that the breakfast area would be shut on the second day of our arrival and we were to collect the following day's breakfast at 9.00pm in the evening! An unnecessary stress at the start of our holiday.This is a regular event for the hotel but YGT never told us, the customer! Nor did YGT let us know that we had a cap on the amount of money we were allowed to spend on breakfasts. We were led to believe that we had paid for breakfast and that it was inclusive with our holiday. Not a capped amount. This cost us more on occasion!It would be helpful if you would advise future customers of these things.

A convenient location with a few good bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, a little tired but more than adequate for a lads golf trip.

Two bedroom apartments with two bathrooms and lounge kitchen and balcony. Apartment was clean and well equipped, there is a cafe on-site for breakfast and quite a few bars and restaurants within a 5 min walk. Thre is also a bar/restaurant on-site with entertainment, also a swimming pool.

Really nice, helpful staff with clean and good sized rooms. Didn't use the pools but they looked nice and could see lots of other guests enjoying them. Location is good as a base for short taxis to many golf courses but not a lot of nightlife to choose from. The bars they do have are friendly though with live music.
