We had issues in arrival as they placed us in a smoking room. They failed to check when we arrived whether we wanted a smoking or non smoking room. When you book for future clients I would suggest you ensure this is specified at time of book to avoid complaints. The hotel resolved it the next morning but it was not a great start to the stay. The hotel is a little dated and their communication of key things such as the use of restaurants etc. was poor. It was an ok stay but not a 5 star experience, more 3 star.

In terms golf, the Media Rotana is only 5 minutes from Emirates Golf Club which is home to the European Tour host the Majlis Course with spectacular backdrop views of the Dubai skyline. The hotel is also within close distance of the newly opened Dubai Hills Golf Club.
