I would say we had a great experience as a group. However, service at the lodge was a lot poorer than expected. Despite having heard very good things, they were not the most accomodating. We had a table booked for 8.30 for dinner, and at before we even sat down and before some had even arrived at the restaurant we were made to 'hurry up and order'. We had to order before 8.30 as they said the kitchen would close. Despite on the phone 8.30 was totally fine, it was suddenly a problem on the day. When I explained that our table was 8.30 and we'll order as soon as we can, we got a response that was 'Yeah but we have some large groups so you need to hurry up'. we were all quite disappointed and felt like we were a nuisance rather than looked after.
