The Rolls of Monmouth is a championship golf course set in the serene countryside within the Welsh Hills, less than an hours drive from Cardiff. It is one of the most visually outstanding inland courses not only in Wales, but in the entire UK.

The breathtaking Manor House is a distinctive feature of the course, as it was the former home of Rolls Royce co-founder Charles Rolls.

Rolls of Monmouth

Rolls of Monmouth may be one of the most visually exquisite properties you will ever play golf on but don't think the parkland course is all about the serenity. The par-72 6733 yard course is a true championship test where all handicaps will have their game tested. The intelligent design uses both the woodland and water hazards to challenge and make you ponder how to best approach each hole.

You will have to balance between risk or reward on the fairways before enjoying superb greens that utilise big undulations. After you walk off the 18th hole, a beautiful par 3 which requires a carry over a lake in front of the spectacular Rolls mansion you will truly wonder why you have waited until now to enjoy a round at this superb golf course.

Accommodation at Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club

Set in the serene Welsh hills it is well worth a stay in the idyllic surrounds at the Rolls of Monmouth. There are three charming self-catering cottages all with a historic look but have all been recently renovated so that you are never miss out on the modern comforts. All three are only a short stroll from the clubhouse, restaurant and the mansion.

Located only a few miles from the English border with great access to the West Midlands, southern England and Wales it is always an easy journey to reach your destination here at Rolls of Monmouth.

The venue looked really tired with a lot of peeling paint and tired doors needing replacement .The course had recently received drainage work and the fairways were badly scared with very little grass .

Wow! what a setting to play golf. Majority of us have played this course. Again weather very hot (always makes a difference). The course is well managed, with great course management, terrific fairways and greens very true. Highly recommend this course with a terrific 18th hole to finish your course

lovely location and layout extremely slow round of golf due to very slow 4 balls in front some interesting holes and a few blind tee shots holds up play but generally a lovely course

Wow 2nd time visiting the rolls and was in great condition..very long course so we booked buggies this time.Greens are so difficult and fast and easy to rack up the shots.Slope index needs to be adjusted as no way its the same as my home course.

The Rolls of Monmouth is an exceptional course, if it had access from a major road it would be impossible to get on. Great value and several signature holes. I have rated it average for difficulty but if the greens are running fast then it moves towards hard. Greens were ultra receptive. Don’t miss this course

Lovely golf course with some cracking holes - significant elevation changes so for the less mobile buggies are probably a good idea

The course was great but the club house would not serve us a full breakfast as apparently you had to book in advance, something we would have done if we knew.

Really liked this course. Rough was really long, like whispy knee high with thick grass underneath. As a course with some blind shots im not a fan of that aspect. Makes play slow and golf is hard enough. Luckily i didnt go in there but playing partners did and almost guranteed lost ball. Greens were slow but they have extreme slopes so i imagine they have to keep on slow side or be unplayable. Overall liked the course and would go back
